Ziplining, off-road driving, whitewater rafting… many experiences create an exciting adventure exploring nature in Khanh Hoa.
Hon Ba Mountain in Cam Lam district has long been an attractive destination for those who love experiencing pristine nature and seeking moments of relaxation. The beauty of Hon Ba proves that Khanh Hoa not only has beautiful sandy beaches and picturesque bays, but also majestic mountains and forests that provide opportunities for unique experiences.
Kong Forest is an adventure park located at Km19 Suoi Nguon Tourist Area, Suoi Cat Commune, Cam Lam District, Khanh Hoa Province. Situated on the slopes of Hon Ba Mountain – a mountain 1,578m above sea level – the air here is very fresh and cool. Visitors can explore nature using the largest and only Zipline Canopy system in Vietnam to date, drive off-road vehicles through the forest, paddle boats over waterfalls, go hiking, camping, and swimming at Suoi Nguon. With all these experiential activities, Kong Forest is considered one of the most attractive adventure parks in Southeast Asia.

Kong Forest is ideally located for designing nature exploration games.

Rafting – rowing a boat across rapids.
ATV – off-road driving.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Nguyet, representative of Kong Forest, shared: “In Khanh Hoa, there are many tours exploring the sea and islands, but there is still a lack of activities in the forest with potential for sports and relaxation. Therefore, we built Kong Forest Adventure Park, aiming to develop tourism in the province and create a unique landmark for Nha Trang tourism. Previously, those who liked thrilling activities in nature had to go all the way to Bali (Indonesia), Phuket (Thailand), or Langkawi (Malaysia), but now they can come to Vietnam.”
While ziplining, visitors feel like they are soaring through the air above the forest canopy, taking in the full beauty of Hon Ba Island and enjoying the refreshing atmosphere of the tropical forest. Notably, with the goal of sustainable tourism development, the entire zipline system is installed on trees without a single nail driven into the trunk. Furthermore, every six months, foreign experts come to assess and loosen the anchor ropes to allow the trees to grow.

Tourists enjoy the zipline ride.
The zipline system uses only rope and no nails.
An exciting work environment, a respectful approach to nature, and training from foreign experts to operate ziplines worldwide are all motivations for the team of guides to stay committed to their work, even though it means working far from the city.
“Working in harmony with nature makes me feel very relaxed. I'm especially happy that many tourists from all over the world come here and share that they love this place because of the preserved primary forest. Tourists will also have experiences that push their limits, making them braver and more optimistic about life.” – Mr. Tran Thanh Phi, head of the tour guide team, shared.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Tourism, Kong Forest has a unique product that combines sports tourism with mountain and forest ecotourism, contributing to the diversification of tourism products in Khanh Hoa province. At the same time, it supports the gradual development towards green and sustainable tourism.
Many games are designed to add challenge and excitement to the zipline ride.
Because tourism activities here depend on nature, there are many difficulties and hardships for those working in the tourism industry. Although only a little over 30km from the center of Nha Trang city, it is located on the mountainside within the Hon Ba nature reserve, making staffing, transportation, and guest reception more expensive. The equipment for the activities takes place in mountainous forest areas, requiring constant maintenance and upkeep.
