On the evening of August 15th, a special art program celebrating the Vu Lan festival (a Buddhist festival honoring parents) with the theme "Gratitude for Parental Love 2024" took place at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace ( Hanoi ), evoking deep emotions.
Following the success of 2022 and 2023, the 2024 "Gratitude to Parents" art program is a meaningful activity that conveys the gratitude of children to their parents, demonstrating the moral principle of "Drinking water, remember the source," "Eating fruit, remember the tree planter," and contributing to preserving the humanistic values in Vietnamese tradition.

Organized to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi (October 10, 1954) and the 25th anniversary of Hanoi being honored by UNESCO as a City for Peace , the program also aims to use art to inspire a desire for peace in young people, and to instill gratitude and appreciation for the previous generations who sacrificed their lives for national independence.
The program consists of three parts. Part 1 expresses love for one's homeland and family through the scene "A Lifetime of Burden ," and the song " The Road Home," directed by Mai Thanh Tung and narrated by People's Artist Le Chuc.
Part 2 summarizes the activities in the journey of gratitude and filial piety that the Organizing Committee has persistently carried out over the years through reports on visits and tributes to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, elderly people without support, visits to martyrs' cemeteries, and gift-giving to families of policy beneficiaries in Hanoi and along the Central region...
Part 3 consists of artistic performances in three chapters, where the audience can enjoy meaningful and humane songs.
In the program, Ho Quynh Huong embodies a young mother entrusting her newborn child to her care, seeing her child's future intertwined with the future of the nation, as expressed in the famous song "Mother Loves Her Child" by composer Nguyen Van Ty.
In the second song, "My Father," by composer An Hieu, Ho Quynh Huong sweetly and profoundly praises the immeasurable contributions of her father to her entire life.

Ho Quynh Huong's performance evoked many emotions in the audience, causing some to shed tears while listening to the singer from the mining region sing.
Besides Ho Quynh Huong, performances by Luu Huong Giang, Vu Thang Loi, Minh Quan, Ai Phuong, Randy, Quach Mai Thy, Le Trang, Thai Son, and others also impressed many people.
In particular, this year's program was made even more meaningful and inspiring with an interaction session with a group of young people who restore thousands of portraits of fallen soldiers for free, and a group of young people carrying out the "Hanoi Joins Hands" project, providing "zero-cost homes" for the homeless in Hanoi.
The program also awarded 30 scholarships and gifts to exemplary young people in the capital who exemplify filial piety.
