Urgently relocate power grid projects affected by key transportation projects

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long concluded the meeting.

Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc chaired the An Giang bridge; together with leaders of provincial departments, branches and An Giang Electricity Company.

Reporting at the meeting, Deputy Director of An Giang Provincial Project Management Board Dinh Van To said: Component Project 1 - Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Construction Investment Project has a total length of 57km (of which, the section passing through An Giang province is 56.4km), with a total approved investment of 13,526 billion VND. Up to now, the relocation of medium and low voltage lines and transformer stations of Component Project 1 with 34 locations on the route has been completed, reaching a rate of 100%.

The high-voltage power line relocation project component 1 has 4 remaining locations. Currently, the province has directed localities in the project area to urgently approve compensation plans for affected households; progress and feedback from the people are very positive. The investor (An Giang Provincial Project Management Board) is continuing to mobilize, and so far has basically agreed to hand over, the remaining households are continuing to be mobilized to ensure construction implementation in April 2025.

Regarding the construction progress, the investor has directed the contractor to gather materials and equipment to the construction site from April 3 to May 8, 2025, and start the construction of the foundation of pillars 94-95 of the 110kV line (Chau Doc 2 - Sao Mai); the remaining pillars will be planned for further implementation upon handover of the site.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long acknowledged and commended localities for proactively implementing key national projects according to schedule and plans, including projects related to the electricity sector. At the same time, he requested localities to urgently relocate power grid infrastructure items affected by important national projects, key projects in the transport sector. During the implementation process, if there are any problems, they must be immediately reported to the ministries and central branches for resolution, all for the goal of completing the 3,000km expressway plan this year as launched by the Prime Minister.
