Urgently overcome damage, prepare conditions for opening new school year

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - On August 26, the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province issued document No. 3098/SGDĐT-VP to communes, wards and affiliated units on focusing on overcoming the consequences of storm No. 5 and responding to floods after the storm; preparing conditions for the opening of the new school year.

Thieu Duong Secondary School was flooded due to the impact of storm No. 5.

In this dispatch, the Department of Education and Training requests the Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes and wards; heads of affiliated units to seriously implement the contents of Official Dispatch No. 16/CD-UBND dated August 26, 2025 of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on focusing on overcoming the consequences of storm No. 5 and responding to floods after the storm.

At the same time, continue to strictly implement the directives of the Department of Education and Training. Closely monitor the situation of rain and floods after the storm to have appropriate response solutions. Promptly overcome damage, clean and sanitize schools and classrooms to ensure safety, cleanliness, and disease prevention. Proactively develop plans to support teaching equipment, textbooks and supplies, ensuring learning conditions for students from the beginning of the new school year.

The Department of Education and Training requires that only when the safety of students is truly ensured will educational activities be reorganized and conditions prepared for the opening of the new school year. For communes and wards damaged by storm No. 5, report to the Department for timely synthesis and reporting according to regulations.
