Khanh Hoa Province is holding a design competition for a shared headquarters building for its departments, agencies, and organizations.

On October 19th, Architect Nguyen Hoang, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Architects Association, announced that the association has issued a competition for architectural design proposals for a shared headquarters building for departments and agencies under the Provincial People's Committee; a shared headquarters building for the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province; and for political and social organizations and mass organizations at the provincial level assigned tasks by the Party and State of Khanh Hoa province.

Previously, at its 15th session on September 13th, the 7th term of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council approved a resolution on the investment plan for the aforementioned project. The project aims to construct a new complex comprising the headquarters of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, including 18 specialized agencies, 4 political and social organizations, specialized associations, and the provincial historical archives center.

Accordingly, the project will be implemented on a plot of land larger than 9.2 hectares in Vinh Thai commune, Nha Trang city (planned as the new urban area - park - administrative center of Khanh Hoa province), with a maximum building density of 40%, and the number of floors not exceeding the approved general plan and zoning plan. The estimated number of users is approximately 1,200 people.

This site will include the construction of an office building, a provincial historical archives center, technical infrastructure, auxiliary areas, gardens, and landscaping… This is a Group A project to be implemented from 2024 to 2027 with a total investment of over 1,867 billion VND from the provincial budget.

Specifically, component project 1 – the construction of the shared headquarters, costing over 1.637 billion VND, is invested by the Khanh Hoa Provincial Development Project Management Board. Component project 2 – the compensation, support, resettlement, and land clearance project for the construction of the shared headquarters, costing approximately 230 billion VND, is invested by the Nha Trang City People's Committee.

According to architect Nguyen Hoang, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Architects Association will organize a wide-ranging competition. Consulting firms with sufficient capacity and experience in architectural design are eligible to participate in the competition…

Application forms and competition information will be available from October 18th to November 30th. The organizing committee is expected to announce the competition results in the first quarter of 2025.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee will award the First Prize worth 500 million VND, the Second Prize worth 300 million VND, the Third Prize worth 100 million VND, and two Consolation Prizes worth 50 million VND each.
