On the morning of November 20, Duc Tho Commune People's Committee worked with Viettel Post Joint Stock Corporation (Viettel Post) to survey the planning location of the Logistics center in the area.

At the meeting, the representative of Duc Tho Commune People's Committee presented a preliminary report on the planning area, planning to build a Logistics center in Dai Loi village. This is a prime location, located next to National Highway 8A (the route to Laos) and the North-South railway (next to Yen Trung Station); 10 km from the North-South expressway and 30 km from Vinh airport, creating favorable conditions for multimodal connection (road, rail, air). This is also the point that has been planned by the Prime Minister and Ha Tinh province as a key Logistics point.

Through preliminary survey, the total area of the land is 26.43 hectares, currently mainly agricultural land and vacant land. The volume of container trucks passing through National Highway 8A is stable at 200-300 vehicles/day and night, showing that the demand for transportation and warehousing in the area is very large.

The working group conducted a preliminary survey of the planned location of the Logistics Center in Duc Tho commune.

According to the preliminary technical analysis report, the project has a total investment of nearly 550 billion VND. Notably, the capital allocation structure focuses largely on building the physical foundation. Specifically, about 380 billion VND (accounting for nearly 69%) is spent on investing in infrastructure construction and main works; about 170 billion VND to purchase modern equipment, management software and other essential project costs, ensuring synchronization and high efficiency.

In terms of planning, the project has a scale with a total land use area of up to 21 hectares (equivalent to 205,830 m²). The expected construction density is 60%, with building heights from 1 to 5 floors. The area for finished product warehouses reaches 51,500 m², while the yard area accounts for 91,130 m².

Party Secretary, Chairman of Duc Tho Commune People's Council Tran Hoai Duc spoke at the meeting.

The general assessment shows that the current technical infrastructure meets the requirements, the flow of goods is abundant and the need to build a Logistics center is urgent, favorable and potential. At the same time, the project is consistent with the approved Ha Tinh Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. The main goal is to build a green Logistics center, committed to using renewable energy, minimizing carbon emissions, optimizing multimodal transport and strongly applying smart technology and automation in operations.

Speaking at the meeting, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Duc Tho commune, Tran Hoai Duc, affirmed that the meeting opened up strategic cooperation opportunities between the local government and Viettel Post, aiming at the goal of socio-economic development, promoting industry, services, trade and transportation; creating a driving force to promote and build Duc Tho commune into an important freight transit center of the northern region of Ha Tinh.
