Terrifying moment cargo plane crashed in the US, burning fiercely

A UPS McDonnell Douglas MD-11 plane crashed at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport in the US, killing at least three people.

According to RT , the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed that a UPS McDonnell Douglas MD-11 plane crashed at around 3:15 p.m. on November 4 (local time), shortly after taking off from the airport in Louisville and intended to go to Honolulu.

Video footage of the incident shows a fireball and thick black smoke at the end of the runway after a loud bang. Authorities urged people to stay away from the scene of the accident.

The accident killed at least three people, The Sun reported, while police added that several people were seriously injured.

"At least three people were killed and 11 others were injured in the tragedy that occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m. on November 4," Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear said at a press conference, adding that the death toll could rise.

The cargo plane crashed into two businesses, including an oil recycling plant and an auto parts yard, authorities said.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has opened an investigation into the crash.
