Groundbreaking ceremony of Phuc Dien Industrial Park expansion

Phuc Dien Industrial Park Expansion was approved for investment in Decision No. 398/QD-TTg dated March 19, 2021 of the Prime Minister and established under Decision No. 995/QD-UBND dated March 31, 2021 of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee; First Investment Registration Certificate No. 4170136014 dated April 5, 2021 of Hai Duong Provincial Industrial Parks Management Board. The Phuc Dien Industrial Park Expansion Project has a total area of over 235 hectares, located in the territory of 3 communes Vinh Hong, Vinh Hung, Hung Thang, Binh Giang district, Hai Duong province. The project has an investment capital of nearly 2,000 billion VND, is expected to be completed within 36 months and has an operating period of 50 years (until March 19, 2071). This project is assessed to have a favorable location for road, sea, rail and air traffic, 42km from Hanoi capital, 55km from Hai Phong port city along National Highway 5A, near Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway and Hanoi - Quang Ninh railway, adjacent to the planning area of the specialized economic zone of Hai Duong province.

Mr. Pham Quang Tham, Director of Trung Quy - Bac Ninh Investment Joint Stock Company, said that the expanded Phuc Dien Industrial Park is part of the Government's industrial park development orientation, the industrial development planning orientation of Hai Duong province and Binh Giang district, with great advantages in terms of geographical location, socio-economics as well as convenient road, rail and water transport. The industrial park will focus on industries using high technology, with modern production lines, clean industry such as: mechanical assembly; high-end construction materials; food processing; production of high-end consumer goods; electricity, electronics and a number of other industrial industries with modern production technology, not causing environmental pollution.

Mr. Trieu The Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee spoke at the Ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Trieu The Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province, said that with the location advantage of Hai Duong province, in recent times, the province has focused on developing industrial parks to attract investment and has attracted many large investors. In particular, since the beginning of 2023, it has attracted many large projects with a total registered investment of over 1 billion USD. The groundbreaking ceremony of the expanded Phuc Dien Industrial Park today will continue to open up opportunities to attract investment, creating strong development for Hai Duong province in the following years.

In order for the project to be successfully implemented, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province has assigned the People's Committee of Binh Giang district, together with the Departments and branches of Hai Duong province, to continue to accompany and support the investor to smoothly implement the construction and soon put the industrial park into operation to attract investment. It is requested that the investor concentrate highly on resources to speed up the construction progress to complete the industrial park with the best quality and soon put the industrial park into operation.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Hai Duong Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to urgently organize the construction of Road 394B connecting National Highway 5 to the expanded Phuc Dien Industrial Park to facilitate traffic in order to speed up the construction progress of the Industrial Park, promptly meeting the operation of the Industrial Park; Assign the Department of Transport to preside over and coordinate with departments, branches, and investors to carry out procedures to receive and hand over Phuc Dien Bridge to the province for management according to regulations.

According to Mr. Trieu The Hung, the inauguration of Phuc Dien Bridge and the groundbreaking of Phuc Dien Industrial Park expansion are important premises, continuing to open up new development opportunities for Hai Duong province. Hai Duong province hopes that Trung Quy - Bac Ninh Investment Joint Stock Company in particular and calls on investors in the province to continue to pay attention to investing strongly in Hai Duong province. "Hai Duong province's leaders are committed to always accompanying and providing maximum support for investors to operate production and business smoothly and effectively in the province," emphasized the Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee.

When completed and put into use, Phuc Dien Industrial Park Expansion will be an important factor contributing to attracting FDI capital, increasing the competitiveness index, contributing significantly to changing the face of Hai Duong province in general and Binh Giang district in particular; solving employment, improving income and living standards for workers; helping to accelerate the urbanization rate, creating even development among regions in the province.

Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate Phuc Dien bridge.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Trung Quy - Bac Ninh Investment Joint Stock Company and Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee also cut the ribbon to inaugurate Phuc Dien Bridge. The project is about 130m long, including 2 units 2m apart, each unit is 12m wide and the road leading from the Sat River overpass to the expanded Phuc Dien Industrial Park (about 300m long, the scale of a grade II road in the delta), with a total investment of over 138 billion VND, sponsored by Trung Quy - Bac Ninh Investment Joint Stock Company. This is a project with the expectation of creating a highlight for the regional traffic infrastructure and is the starting point for the expanded Phuc Dien Industrial Park.

Trung Quy Investment Joint Stock Company - Bac Ninh and Vietinbank signed a cooperation agreement.

Also at the ceremony, Trung Quy - Bac Ninh Investment Joint Stock Company and Vietinbank signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement; Trung Quy - Bac Ninh Investment Joint Stock Company and Hai Duong Industrial Park Management Board presented MOUs and investment certificates to partners.
