For more than 10 consecutive years, Mbe village has maintained the title of district-level cultural village, one of the typical examples of preserving cultural identity in Krong Buk commune. Mr. Y Thi Nie, Head of the Mbe village Front Working Committee, said that the whole village currently has 170 households, including 167 Ede households and 3 Tay households, 70% of the population follows religion. In the past, there was a time when many cultural values of the Ede people were forgotten in each household. Thanks to the attention of propaganda and mobilization of Party committees, authorities, and the Fatherland Front , traditional culture is gradually reviving and becoming the glue that binds the community.
In the village, there are still 11 traditional stilt houses and 4 sets of knah gongs that have been preserved by the people for many generations. The village also has many artisans who know how to play gongs, sing ayray, blow ding tut... Some families are developing the profession of brewing rice wine, carpentry, and preparing traditional cuisine to increase their income. In particular, traditional costumes have become the pride of every Ede person in Mbe village. Old and young, men and women all own at least one traditional brocade costume to wear on every occasion of weddings, engagements, great solidarity festivals or religious activities. Along with that, xoang dance is also taught to each other by women, adding excitement to cultural and artistic activities in the village.

According to Mr. Nguyen Hai Sam, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Committee of Krong Buk Commune, out of 24 villages and hamlets of Krong Buk Commune, there are 5 hamlets of the Ede people and 7 hamlets of the Tay and Nung people. Each community is preserving the unique features of their ethnic traditional culture, from costumes, language, cuisine to good customs. The Ede people have xoang dance, gongs; the Tay and Nung people have Then singing, Tinh lute, Long Tong Festival... enriching the spiritual life of the people.
To encourage the movement of practicing and performing traditional arts and sports , the People's Committee of the commune has maintained competitions and cultural and artistic festivals for the local people; opened classes to teach gongs to teenagers; established teams, and exchanged culture and sports with other units in district-level competitions and performances. At the same time, the local Party Committee and government have also encouraged villages and hamlets to organize exchange and activities using traditional musical instruments and folk games.
Mr. Nguyen Hai Sam commented that the results achieved from the work of preserving and promoting cultural values have contributed significantly to the socio-economic achievements of the locality, highlighting the role of the people in building new rural areas. From the "soft power" of traditional culture, people have enthusiastically joined hands to protect the environment; restore traditional landscapes of ethnic minority villages and hamlets; improve the efficiency of cultural and sports institutions invested by the state; strengthen self-management and self-defense in ensuring security and order.
In the commune, tourism products and services originating from traditional cultural values have been initially formed. A typical example is the family of Ms. H'Huyền Byă (Krông Búk hamlet) with the culinary establishment and Ede Miu brocade shop. Ms. H'Huyền's business idea originated from the family's lifestyle with hand-roasted coffee, traditional brocade and familiar daily dishes of the villagers.

Ms. H'Huyen shared that through each bag of coffee, shirt, brocade blanket or each dish, she always tries to convey the cultural story of her ethnic community. For example, with coffee, she processes it in the same way that her mother used to do for her children and relatives, which is to roast it with firewood. Or the men's shirts, women's dresses, and brocade wedding blankets are also created using weaving and hand-sewing techniques with traditional colors and patterns. After nearly 3 years, her products have gradually become known and ordered by many people. She has also created more jobs for many women in Krong Buk village, linking with women's brocade weaving models in villages inside and outside the commune. She is also mobilizing women in the village to establish a brocade weaving cooperative, moving towards building a cultural experience model combined with homestay right in the locality.
In addition, in Krong Buk commune, there is also the Krong Buk Ha dam, which is also one of the potentials for the locality to attract investors and exploit agricultural tourism products such as fruit growing and fishing associated with the cultural characteristics of the ethnic minorities in the North to create a sustainable source of livelihood, contributing to beautifying the peaceful and prosperous land here.
