Awakening the tradition of studiousness, building a rich and strong homeland

The program reviews revolutionary traditions, expresses deep gratitude to the nation's leaders, arouses pride and the spirit of emulation in learning and training of the young generation, contributing to building a rich, friendly and affectionate homeland of Tay Ninh.

At the historical relic site of Hoang Le Kha Boarding School (Phuoc Vinh commune, Tay Ninh province), in a solemn and emotional atmosphere, delegates respectfully offered incense and flowers, took a moment of silence to commemorate the heroic martyrs and reviewed the history of the formation of Hoang Le Kha Boarding School during the resistance war.

Mr. Vo Hoang Khai, former member of the Provincial Standing Committee, former Head of the Propaganda Department of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee (old), Head of the Liaison Committee of Hoang Le Kha Alumni - Southern Tay Ninh Province students said: Right from the beginning of its establishment, Hoang Le Kha School was identified by the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee as a place to nurture the "red seeds" of the revolution. The school not only focused on teaching literacy and culture, but also paid special attention to political and ideological education, fostering revolutionary spirit, nurturing feelings towards the Party, Uncle Ho and the socialist North, contributing to the struggle to defeat the enemy's war of aggression plans.

In the Mid-Autumn Festival of 1964, during Literature class, teacher Ho Van Quoc gave an essay assignment with the topic: "Children of Hoang Le Kha School, please write a letter to Uncle Ho". With love and infinite respect, the students wrote emotional letters, full of faith and determination to dedicate to Him. Teacher Ho Van Quoc then selected typical words and assigned the students to copy them into a complete letter to send to Hanoi . That day, the letter traveled through many communication routes, through many war zones, to reach the Central Government. The students themselves did not think that Uncle Ho would actually receive it.

In the difficult circumstances of the resistance war, despite the great workload, President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang still paid special attention to the children of the South. From the letter sent by students of Hoang Le Kha School, to the Mid-Autumn Festival of 1965, Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton wrote letters to the children of Tay Ninh in particular and the children of the South in general, adding confidence and encouraging them to overcome difficulties and firmly follow the revolution.

In the letter, Uncle Ho wrote, “Our Southern compatriots are very heroic. Our Southern children are also very heroic.” Uncle Ho and Uncle Ho expressed their hope and wish that the children of Tay Ninh as well as the children of the entire Southern region “each child is a hero.”

That letter is not only a priceless spiritual gift for the students of Hoang Le Kha School, but also a traditional flame that fosters the will, helping the children of the South to steadfastly overcome bombs and bullets, continue to study and contribute to the cause of national liberation. 60 years have passed, but the spiritual values and love of the two Uncles remain intact, becoming a precious spiritual asset for today's and future generations.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Thanh emphasized that during his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh always considered education as the top national policy, and the cause of "cultivating people" was the sacred responsibility of the whole society. He placed teenagers and children in the position of future masters of the country, and at the same time advised: "Whether Vietnam's mountains and rivers become beautiful or not, whether the Vietnamese people can step up to the stage of glory to stand shoulder to shoulder with the great powers of the five continents or not, depends largely on your studies."

Imbued with Uncle Ho's teachings, in recent times, the Party Committees and authorities of Tay Ninh province have always paid special attention to the cause of education - training and caring for the young generation. The scale and quality of education have been constantly improved; policies for teachers and students have been fully and promptly implemented; facilities and equipment for teaching and learning have been invested synchronously. The annual high school graduation rate is over 95%, and the junior high school graduation rate is over 99%. Notably, many Tay Ninh students have achieved excellent results in PISA exams, national science and technology competitions, STEM, regional Olympics, etc., affirming that the province's education is moving strongly towards linking knowledge with practice.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Thanh expressed his hope that the generation of young people, pupils and students of Tay Ninh will continue to promote the value of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton's letter, inherit the tradition of studiousness, will to rise up and revolutionary spirit of generations of students of Hoang Le Kha School during the resistance war. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee called on the young generation to correctly perceive that studying is the top priority, responsibility, obligation, rights and future of themselves, and at the same time strive to study well, practice well, work well to become citizens with virtue, talent, health and a steadfast revolutionary stance, contributing to building the homeland of Tay Ninh increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized, together with the whole country moving forward on the path of development.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the program awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee to individuals with outstanding achievements in building the historical relic site of Hoang Le Kha Boarding School (Phuoc Vinh commune, Tay Ninh province); awarded 20 special scholarships to encourage and share with children in difficult circumstances to excel in their studies; Tay Ninh Provincial Youth Union organized the award ceremony for the painting contest "Uncle Ho - Uncle Ton with Tay Ninh children".
