Launching the 9th Vietnam - China Border Defense Friendship Exchange - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television

- On the morning of April 16, the Vietnamese delegation led by General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense of Vietnam, departed through the Friendship International Border Gate to China to attend activities in the 9th Vietnam - China Border Defense Friendship Exchange Program.

General Phan Van Giang and the Vietnamese delegation performed the milestone salute ceremony.

The delegation included comrades: Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security ; Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Commander of the Border Guard; representatives of agencies and units under the Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Foreign Affairs ... On the side of Lang Son province , there were comrades: Hoang Van Nghiem, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee , Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation ; Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Duong Xuan Huyen, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

General Phan Van Giang and the Vietnamese delegation exited through the Huu Nghi International Border Gate (Vietnam) and entered China through the Huu Nghi Quan border gate.

Welcoming the Vietnamese delegation at the Friendship Pass Border Gate (China) , Senior Lieutenant General Dong Jun, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of National Defense of China, expressed his joy at welcoming Vietnamese Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang and the delegation to attend the exchange activities taking place in China.

The Chinese delegation welcomed General Phan Van Giang and the Vietnamese delegation to China to attend activities in the Exchange Program.

Previously, at the Friendship International Border Gate, Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang and delegates performed the salute and painted landmark 1116, opening the activities within the framework of the 9th Vietnam - China Border Defense Friendship Exchange.

The exchange program took place right after the State visit to Vietnam of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping at the invitation of General Secretary To Lam and President Luong Cuong from April 14 to 15 , contributing to the implementation of the common perception of the high-ranking leaders of Vietnam and China; affirming the role of defense cooperation and the two Ministries of Defense in strengthening the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China. The event is even more meaningful when it is held on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China (January 18, 1950 - January 18, 2025) and the Vietnam - China Humanitarian Exchange Year 2025 .
