Prosecuted 2 men for falsifying documents to enjoy policy benefits

(NLDO)- Two men used fake inpatient medical records and fake military unit documents to apply for benefits.

On February 27, the Investigation Security Agency of Thai Binh Province Police informed the results of the initial investigation into the case of "using fake documents of agencies and organizations to create files to request benefits for Resistance War Activists and their children infected with toxic chemicals".

According to information from Thai Binh Provincial Police, on February 27, the Investigation Security Agency of Thai Binh Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and issue a search warrant for the residence of Tran Xuan Duyen (born in 1952, residing in Tai Gia village, Quynh Hung commune, Quynh Phu district) and Tran Duy Hung (born in 1948, residing in Phu Lac village, Phu Xuan commune, Thai Binh city) to investigate the act of "using fake documents of agencies and organizations".

During the investigation, the police determined that Mr. Tran Xuan Duyen (who was required to supplement his file for receiving benefits for people infected with toxic chemicals according to the conclusion of the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs) used 2 fake summaries of inpatient medical records to include in his file; Mr. Tran Duy Hung used 2 fake documents from the military unit to create a file to apply for benefits for people infected with toxic chemicals.

Notably, because they wanted to enjoy the regime, Mr. Hung and Mr. Duyen did not properly exercise their right to complain and denounce, many times gathering in large numbers, taking advantage of the complaint to put pressure on the authorities at all levels to request consideration and settlement of the regime according to their own subjective opinions. Although the authorities actively explained, propagandized, and reminded them, they still deliberately and stubbornly committed many acts that further complicated the situation.

Currently, the Thai Binh Provincial Police Investigation Security Agency is coordinating with prosecution agencies to consolidate documents and evidence, expand the investigation of the case to strictly handle it according to the provisions of law.
