Previously, there were controversies regarding the results of the men's 60kg MMA match within the framework of the Lion Championship between Tran Ngoc Luong and Brazilian fighter Robson de Oliveira Soares, which took place on the evening of April 22.

According to some people, Robson de Oliveira Soares was the dominant player in the match, but the referee decided that Tran Ngoc Luong was the winner on points, causing Robson de Oliveira Soares' coach to be upset and think that it was a fraudulent decision.

On the side of the Vietnam Mixed Martial Arts Federation, General Secretary Mai Thanh Ba shared: "It is true that the result cannot be changed, but we are waiting for the referees' explanation regarding their decision in the above match."

As for boxer Tran Ngoc Luong, right after being declared the winner against Robson de Oliveira Soares, this boxer also spoke up: "This was a very difficult match, I also assessed my opponent as very strong so I practiced a lot on how to deal with him."

"Robson de Oliveira Soares was a world jujitsu champion but in the ring yesterday he couldn't do anything to me. As for the sidelines and the referee's decision, I don't care. I respect the decision of the referees and those who judged this match.

Besides, I also respect my opponent's opinion and respect him. After the match, we still shook hands and greeted each other normally" - Tran Ngoc Luong affirmed.
