Speaking to Dan Tri newspaper reporter, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Chairman of Vietnam Poultry Association, said that the unit has just sent a document to relevant ministries and branches to propose and handle false rumors about fake chicken eggs.
The document was issued in the context of recent times on a number of social networking sites spreading false information about the production of fake chicken eggs in our country, causing confusion and anxiety among consumers and negatively affecting the production and trading of domestic poultry eggs.
This association affirms that up to now, there is no scientific evidence in the world that it is possible to produce fake eggs that have the same characteristics as natural chicken eggs.
"In fact, in our country, in the past and present, no fake eggs have been discovered circulating on the market. Therefore, it can be affirmed that the information spread on social networks about the production of fake chicken eggs in the country is completely fabricated," the document stated.

Recently, many images and video clips about fake eggs and fake egg technology have been circulating on social networking sites, causing confusion among consumers (Photo: Screenshot).
The Vietnam Poultry Association said that the purchase price of chicken eggs at the farm, which was lower than the cost price, at 1,400-1,500 VND/egg, has now dropped to only 1,200-1,300 VND/egg. Not only that, production and business establishments are facing many difficulties in selling their products. Many businesses and households raising chicken eggs are suffering heavy losses and are at risk of bankruptcy.
Faced with this situation, this unit recommends that the authorities need to investigate, verify and strictly handle those who have spread false information about fake eggs, not only causing confusion and anxiety for consumers but also causing great damage to the livestock industry.
Since the beginning of May, on social networks TikTok and Facebook, many images and video clips of fake eggs and fake egg technology have been circulating, causing confusion among consumers and greatly affecting domestic livestock farmers.
