This event is organized by the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace in coordination with the Dien Bien Provincial Relic Management Board, Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum, National Archives Center I, with the support of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department of the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security's Standing Office on United Nations Peacekeeping, the People's Army Publishing House, and Sun Group Corporation.
Attending the ceremony were Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong, representatives of departments, ministries and branches, along with a large number of officers and soldiers of the People's Army, Public Security, officers and employees of the Culture sector, and the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong, Director of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace, said that the series of activities aimed to commemorate and pay tribute to the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and generations of fathers and brothers who fought to preserve peace, while also honoring the noble values of peace, independence, solidarity and friendship among nations - great ideas that made up the stature of the Vietnamese nation in the 20th century and continue to light the way in today's era.
At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee opened 3 exhibitions. Of which, the exhibition "Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh - Milestones of national history" introduced more than 200 images, documents and artifacts according to 5 contents, vividly recreating the journey of building, defending and developing the country under the light of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, fostering patriotism, national pride, affirming faith and arousing the desire to contribute in the era of national development.
The thematic exhibition at the additional exhibition room “Journey for Peace” consists of two parts: President Ho Chi Minh and General Nguyen Chi Thanh with the journey to preserve peace for the Vietnamese people; Vietnam participates in preserving world peace. The documents and images on display honor the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and General Nguyen Chi Thanh in the struggle for national independence, protecting true peace for the Vietnamese people, and at the same time recognize Vietnam's proactive and positive role in preserving world peace today.
The exhibition “Continuing the story of peace” conveys the message of the aspiration for peace, national independence and the continuation of the noble humanistic values of peace and friendship that President Ho Chi Minh initiated and laid the foundation for.


On this occasion, the Organizing Committee launched 2 books. In particular, the book "President Ho Chi Minh and General Nguyen Chi Thanh", a collection of 80 historical events with illustrative photos, aims to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2, as well as the 80th anniversary of the first time comrade Nguyen Vinh met and was honored to be named Nguyen Chi Thanh by leader Ho Chi Minh in the Tan Trao Liberated Zone (August 17, 1945 - August 17, 2025).
The book depicts the special relationship between the genius leader of the Vietnamese revolution and an excellent student, a loyal colleague. The 80 contents in the book also depict the contributions of General Nguyen Chi Thanh in the struggle for the independence and freedom of the country and the happiness of the people. The book was published to fulfill the wish of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh (son of General Nguyen Chi Thanh) during his lifetime.
The book “The Palace of the Governor General of Indochina in the past and the Presidential Palace today” is a collaborative product between the Presidential Palace Relic Site and the National Archives Center I. This is the first time a book has been compiled and published to fully introduce the space, history, and architecture of the former Governor General’s Palace and the transformation process as well as the special value of the Presidential Palace – where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked during the last 15 years of his life (1954–1969)...
