The business sector contributes more than 60% of GRDP

Vice Chairman of Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee Phan The Tuan awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry to collectives and individuals who are typical enterprises and businessmen of Bac Giang province.

The business community and entrepreneurs of Bac Giang province always strive to overcome difficulties, actively contributing to the socio -economic development of the province. A vivid manifestation is that in the first 9 months of 2024, Bac Giang's economy continued to grow strongly, estimated to increase by 13.89%, leading the country. Industrial production value reached 500 trillion VND, up 28.5% over the same period last year. The enterprise sector contributes more than 60% of GRDP, about 35% of the total number of workers participating in the province's economy. Enterprises and entrepreneurs are present in most industries, production and business fields, operating not only in the province but many enterprises and entrepreneurs have made a name for themselves, affirming their brand value at the national level...

Along with the good performance of production and business tasks, despite many difficulties, enterprises and businessmen still actively participate in social charity work. Implementing well the movements of hunger eradication and poverty reduction, building new rural areas; actively participating in the Gratitude Program, mobilizing donations of money and materials to help social subjects in difficult circumstances, the movement to eliminate temporary houses and dilapidated houses for poor households. Especially during the recent flood caused by storm No. 3, the business community and businessmen in the province contributed tens of billions of VND to help people in the affected areas.

At the meeting with typical businesses and entrepreneurs, on the occasion of the Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day on October 13 this year, recently organized by the People's Committee of Bac Giang province, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province Phan The Tuan, on behalf of the provincial leaders, acknowledged and commended the great efforts and contributions of the business community and entrepreneurs of Bac Giang province to the development of the locality. In the coming time, the People's Committee of the province will direct authorities at all levels and functional branches to continue to innovate the organization, build a streamlined, effective and efficient operating apparatus, and best serve the people and businesses. Build a healthy and fair business environment, encourage development and innovation, and creativity. Listen, share and resolve difficulties and problems of businesses. Increase investment in infrastructure for transportation, information technology, infrastructure of industrial parks and clusters, infrastructure serving workers, housing, and healthcare systems for workers. Strengthening the connection between foreign-invested areas, especially large enterprises and corporations with enterprises in the province in developing industrial supply chains. Continuing to accompany enterprises, considering the development of entrepreneurs and enterprises as one of the key tasks in socio-economic development.

The People's Committee of Bac Giang province always hopes that the business community and entrepreneurs will continue to innovate, create, build and enhance the brand, business culture, and enhance competitiveness. Invest in the application of science and technology, develop high-quality human resources. Continue to make greater contributions to the economic, cultural and social development of the province in the coming time.

On this occasion, 22 collectives and 12 individuals who are typical enterprises and businessmen of Bac Giang province received Certificates of Merit from the President of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry; 36 collectives and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the President of the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises./.
