Kien Giang: More than 1,400 houses were built and repaired during the "Military

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Trung Ho awarded certificates of merit to collectives with outstanding achievements in organizing and implementing the activities of "Tet Quan - Dan" in 2025.

After 5 years of implementation, the "Military-Civilian Tet" activity has mobilized more than 725 billion VND (of which the provincial level is more than 81 billion VND, the district level is more than 644 billion VND). Along with that are more than 110,000 working days from cadres, soldiers, union members and people.

More than 1,400 houses were built and repaired during the "Military - People Tet" activity in the period of 2021 - 2025 in Kien Giang

From this resource, the province has built and repaired 1,414 houses with a total cost of over 82 billion VND; built 120 bridges (worth over 64 billion VND), upgraded over 155 km of rural roads (over 156 billion VND). In addition, it has built 58 welcome gates, built over 6,200 environmental protection works, brought electricity to 174 km of rural roads, dredged over 283 km of canals, installed nearly 400 propaganda billboards, etc.

Social security work was focused on with more than 16,000 people receiving free medical examinations and medicine. Nearly 38,000 gifts were given to families with preferential policies, poor households, and poor students who have overcome difficulties, with a total value of over 86 billion VND. Many other practical gifts such as computers, bicycles, rice, seedlings, Uncle Ho's photos, national flags, etc. were also presented. The province also built and repaired 13 works such as the People's Committee headquarters, temples, and martyrs' memorial houses.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Trung Ho acknowledged and commended the contributions of forces, localities, businesses, and benefactors, and proposed that in the period of 2026 - 2030, we continue to innovate content and methods, closely coordinate between sectors and the armed forces, so that the "Military - People Tet" activities can spread widely, bringing more practical results to the people.

On this occasion, 21 collectives and 40 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee Chairman for their outstanding achievements in organizing the "Military - People Tet" activities in 2025.
