Proposal to handle nearly 40,000 billion VND in tax revenue through inspection and examination

ANTD.VN - The entire Tax sector has conducted 38,866 inspections and examinations at enterprises; and at the same time examined 393,280 tax declarations at tax authorities. The total amount of money proposed for handling through inspections and examinations is nearly 40,000 billion VND.

According to data from the General Department of Taxation, as of August 30, 2023, the entire Tax sector conducted 38,866 inspections and checks at enterprises; checked 393,280 tax declarations at tax authorities.

The total amount of money proposed for handling through inspection and examination is 39,748 billion VND, equal to 102.89% of the same period in 2022.

The Tax Department proposed to handle through inspection and examination is 39,748 billion VND.

Of which, the total tax revenue increased through inspection and examination is 10,348 billion VND; the deduction reduction is 1,194 billion VND; the loss reduction is 28,205 billion VND. The total tax amount paid to the budget is 7,189 billion VND, equal to 69.47% of the increased revenue through inspection and examination.

In terms of inspection results, the number of inspected enterprises was 1,888, reaching 34.73% of the 2023 plan. The total amount of arrears, refunds, and fines was 4,186 billion VND (of which arrears were 2,879 billion VND, fixed at 2.3 billion VND, refunds were 35.6 billion VND, and fines were 1,269 billion VND);

Along with that, the deduction decreased by 176 billion VND; the loss decreased by 11,703 billion VND. The amount paid to the budget was 2,853 billion VND, equal to 68.2% of the increased revenue through inspection.

Regarding the inspection results, 36,978 enterprises were inspected, reaching 49.5% of the 2023 plan. The total amount of arrears, refunds, and fines was 5,775 billion VND (of which arrears were 4,071 billion VND, fixed at 16 billion VND, refunds were 59 billion VND, fines were 1,628 billion VND); deductions were reduced by 934 billion VND; losses were reduced by 15,919 billion VND; the amount paid to the budget was 3,949 billion VND, equal to 68.4% of the increased revenue through inspection.

Along with that, the Tax sector also checked 393,280 tax declaration records at the tax authority's headquarters, equal to 85.3% compared to the same period in 2022; processed budget revenue adjustments of VND 386 billion; reduced deductions of VND 83 billion; and reduced losses of VND 582 billion.

Through checking and reviewing tax declarations at tax authorities, errors and omissions by taxpayers were discovered to increase the declared tax amount or determine tax.

Regarding the results of inspections and examinations of enterprises with related-party transactions, as of August 15, the whole industry has inspected and examined 441 enterprises with related-party transactions; collected, refunded and fined VND905 billion; reduced losses by VND8,830 billion; reduced deductions by VND28.1 billion and adjusted taxable income to increase by VND1,632 billion.

Of which, the inspection and re-determination of market prices for related-party transactions has collected 294 billion VND, reduced losses by 7,078 billion VND, and adjusted taxable income to increase by 940 billion VND.

Under the direction of the General Director of the General Department of Taxation, in the last months of 2023, the whole industry will continue to step up inspection and supervision of taxpayers' tax declarations, check and review declarations, focusing on potentially risky business areas, especially enterprises that are exempted from or have their tax and land rent payments extended.

Recently, the General Director of the General Department of Taxation also issued Decision 1326/QD-TCT approving the 2023 specialized inspection plan, with a list of 42 enterprises subject to inspection.
