Many cooperatives have actively expanded their production and business activities in many sectors and fields; applied high technology; and strengthened production linkages along the value chain. In particular, cooperatives in ethnic minority areas have increasingly demonstrated their role as "midwives" for members in consuming products, creating jobs, and increasing income.
Practice shows that participating in the collective economy and cooperatives is an effective solution to overcome the situation of fragmented and small-scale production, while helping to concentrate resources, especially land for production. Thereby, the collective economic sector contributes significantly to the development of production, economic and labor restructuring in localities.
