Timely clean water support for people after floods

Due to the impact of storm No. 10, many areas in Ha Giang wards 1 and 2 were severely flooded. The water plant of Ha Giang Water Supply and Drainage Joint Stock Company was severely damaged, causing interruptions in domestic water supply and people to lack clean water.

Accompanying the people, in Ha Giang 1 ward, the local government has called for support of over 700 cartons of bottled drinking water and installed over 30 clean water tanks for shared use in residential groups in heavily affected areas. Ha Giang 2 ward alone has distributed over 1,000 cartons of bottled water from the mobilization of the Provincial Red Cross. This timely support has contributed to reducing the scarcity of clean water after the flood.

It is expected that water supply in some areas will not be stable in the next few days. While the system is not yet repaired, the cooperation of the community is the support for people in flooded areas to overcome the current difficulties.
