Timely detection and handling of property theft subjects at Quang Tri Provincial General Hospital

Previously, at around 12:43 on June 22, the security force of the Provincial General Hospital detected a suspicious subject through the security camera system. Immediately after that, the security force immediately monitored and reported to the Dong Luong Ward Police for coordination in handling.

At about 1:05 p.m. the same day, the authorities conducted an administrative check on Mr. Dao Minh Loi (born in 1983), residing in Hai Lang district, at gate 1 of the Provincial General Hospital.

At this time, Mr. Loi was found to have 3 mobile phones and 11,765,000 VND in cash on him. Working with the police, Mr. Loi confessed to stealing the above mentioned assets from patients being treated in the hospital. Currently, the Dong Luong Ward Police have made a record of the case, temporarily seized the evidence and continue to investigate and handle it according to regulations.

To avoid similar incidents, the leaders of Quang Tri General Hospital recommend that patients and their families should not bring large amounts of cash or valuables when coming for medical examination and treatment. Because currently, the hospital has implemented cashless payment of hospital fees using QR codes at all fee collection counters and treatment areas.
