Disciplinary action against volunteer who used candidate's phone for graduation exam

(Dan Tri) - A high school graduation exam candidate in Dong Anh (Hanoi) reported that a volunteer used his phone while delivering items. The local youth union has disciplined 3 volunteers involved.

After the 2025 high school graduation exam ended, a post by a candidate taking the high school graduation exam in Dong Anh, Hanoi, went viral on social media, reporting that his personal phone was used by a stranger while he was in the storage area.

Specifically, after returning home and opening the phone, the candidate discovered photos of 3 unknown volunteers. It is worth mentioning that this device had been previously deposited by the candidate at the exam site, carefully placed in a document bag with other papers.

In a post on social media, the candidate indignantly questioned: “Do exam volunteers now have the “right” to rummage through students’ belongings? If money or something important is lost, will the volunteers on the phone be responsible?”

Upon receiving the report, a representative of the Gia Loc Village Youth Union, Viet Hung Commune, Dong Anh District, Hanoi City, contacted the candidate and confirmed the incident at the local exam site.

Specifically, while candidates were leaving their belongings in the area managed by Gia Loc village youth, some volunteers used candidates' phones without permission.

“This is a violation of regulations and is completely inconsistent with the established sense of responsibility. The village Youth Union has seriously reviewed and disciplined the support team and has taken disciplinary action against the three volunteers,” said a representative of the unit.

At the same time, to show the spirit of learning and responsibility after the incident, the unit's representative also sent an apology and wished to meet directly to listen to more opinions of the candidates.

As for the candidate, he said he accepted the apology from the responsible party, but did not delete the post on his personal page so that volunteers could learn a lesson and be more careful with their roles and sense of responsibility in their work.

Also sharing with Dan Tri reporter, the representative of Gia Loc village youth union said that the incident had been handled internally. The local youth union branch wished not to take the matter too far to avoid affecting the psychology of the candidates and young volunteers.
