Skills in searching and developing journalistic topics in the digital age

On May 15 and 16, in Hung Yen province, the Center for Journalism Training - Vietnam Journalists Association in collaboration with the Hung Yen Provincial Journalists Association organized a training course on "Skills in searching and developing journalism topics in the digital age" for trainees who are members and collaborators of the Hung Yen Provincial Journalists Association; reporters and editors of Hung Yen Newspaper and Thai Binh Newspaper.

Lecturers and students discuss the application of some survey tools to discover topics.

During the 2 days, the trainees were shared skills and knowledge by journalist Tran Ngoc Long, Head of Communications - Multimedia Department, VietnamPlus Electronic Newspaper, Vietnam News Agency, part-time lecturer of the Center for Journalism Training - Vietnam Journalists Association , such as: applying some survey tools to discover topics; applying tools in building topics and using AI in analyzing, proposing topics and making plans and outlines. In parallel with the time spent in class, the trainees were divided into groups to practice, applying the knowledge they learned to hypothetical exercises.

Members and collaborators of Hung Yen Provincial Journalists Association; reporters and editors of Hung Yen Newspaper and Thai Binh Newspaper attended the course.

The training course helps reporters, editors, and collaborators improve their professional knowledge and skills, gain more experience to apply in practice, create quality works; find ways to exploit, access, and convey information quickly and accurately for press works, contributing to serving propaganda work well in the digital transformation era.
