Attracting investment - triggering a wave of industrialization.

A key driving force behind Hung Ha's growth is its strong attraction of investment in the industrial sector. With a comprehensively planned and well-connected infrastructure system, Hung Ha district is becoming an attractive destination for investors. In 2024 and early 2025, Hung Ha attracted 14 investment projects, including 11 domestic projects with a total registered capital of over 2,700 billion VND; and 3 foreign-invested projects with a total registered capital of over 50 million USD. These projects will continue to create momentum for development not only in 2025 but also in the following years.

Among the ongoing projects in Hung Ha, many are large-scale, aiming for sustainable development, linking industrial production with environmental protection, tourism development, and creating long-term livelihoods for the people. One of the prominent projects is the Duyen Hai mineral water extraction, production, and hot spring resort project, invested by Nhan Binh Joint Stock Company. The project is being implemented on an area of 12 hectares (phase 1 is 4.87 hectares), with a total investment of nearly 163 billion VND. The project includes a mineral water extraction and bottling plant, a hot spring bathing area, a resort, a restaurant and cafe, a scenic stream, and flower gardens. It is expected that bottled mineral water services will be operational in Q4/2025, with the remaining components becoming operational in Q3/2027. The project is of significant importance, opening up a new direction for the development of resort tourism and mineral water processing in the locality. Mr. Pham Van Nhiem, Secretary of the Party Committee of Duyen Hai commune, said: "This is a large project that will change the economic structure from purely agricultural to hot spring resort tourism, creating jobs for local people. After the project becomes operational, Duyen Hai will become a center connecting and developing the tourism economy in the region, and we will continue to attract investors to further develop our homeland."

Alongside tourism development, the food processing industry is also becoming a new highlight of the district. The food processing plant project of Kim Minh Hoa Food Joint Stock Company, located in the Hung Nhan industrial cluster, specializes in processing chicken feet, chicken wings, minced meat, and packaged ready-to-eat meat slices. With a usable area of 9,125 and a total investment of 142 billion VND, the plant boasts a designed capacity of tens of millions of products per year, ensuring supply for both domestic and international markets. The project not only enhances industrial production value but also creates jobs for hundreds of workers, and serves as the starting point for a modern food industry value chain in the locality. Mr. Pham Kim Kha, Director of Kim Minh Hoa Food Joint Stock Company, shared: "We are not just investing in a factory, but laying the foundation for a modern food production value chain right here in Hung Ha." With its synchronized infrastructure, open investment attraction policies, and abundant human resources, we believe that Hung Ha will not only be a production center but also a hub connecting industries for the entire Red River Delta region. This is the beginning of a long-term, sustainable development journey.

Emerging as a growth pole in the northwestern part of the province.

Besides large-scale projects, the industrial economic landscape in Hung Ha is also adorned by the strong growth of hundreds of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating actively in the area. According to statistics, the district currently has nearly 500 businesses, spanning almost all sectors such as: industrial production, handicrafts, agricultural processing, high-tech livestock farming, mechanical engineering, and the production of products serving the livestock industry... The strong development of this business sector has contributed to creating stable jobs for thousands of local workers, especially young workers in rural areas. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuan, from Hung Nhan town, said: "Previously, I mainly worked as a freelancer, earning only 2-3 million VND per month. Since working as a factory worker near my home, I have a stable income of 7-9 million VND per month, receive insurance coverage, and have time to take care of my family." My life has changed dramatically; I feel secure and committed to this long-term.

The Duyen Hai hot spring resort and mineral water extraction and production project is being planned and invested in by Nhan Binh Joint Stock Company.

Furthermore, the entire district has 7 out of 13 industrial clusters established and gradually becoming operational, with a total area of over 352.82 hectares, attracting 50 investment projects and registered investments, with an occupancy rate of over 52%. Not only focusing on planning, Hung Ha also takes the lead in investing in industrial cluster infrastructure in a proactive manner, aiming to create ready-to-use land for businesses to start operations as soon as they receive permits. Mr. Bui Hao Duong, Deputy Head of the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Planning Department of Hung Ha district, said: "We recognize that attracting businesses is only the first step; for businesses to develop sustainably, infrastructure must come first. Therefore, the district pays special attention to investing in the synchronous development of items such as internal transportation, electricity systems, water supply and drainage, environmental treatment, etc. The ultimate goal is to create the most favorable environment to optimize the efficiency of production and business for enterprises."

Mr. Tran Huu Nam, Secretary of the Hung Ha District Party Committee, affirmed: With its favorable geographical location and numerous major transportation routes running through it, the rapid shift in economic structure towards industrial, commercial, and service development is an inevitable direction. Therefore, in the first quarter of 2025, the total industrial production value of the district reached VND 3,255.5 billion, an increase of 3.58% compared to the same period. Hung Ha is aiming to become a growth pole connecting with the Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh development triangle, opening up opportunities to attract FDI capital as well as investors in the trade and service sectors. In addition to focusing on economic development, Hung Ha is also implementing vocational training programs, improving the quality of human resources, and improving the living environment to meet the needs of businesses.

With the goal of "Using industry as the foundation, investment as the driving force, and people as the center of development," Hung Ha is creating a modern and dynamic economic landscape. With the right direction, the decisive involvement of the entire political system, and the unity of the people, Hung Ha is embarking on a new, stronger, and more promising path of development.
