Attracting investment - activating industrial wave

The important lever that creates the momentum of Hung Ha is the strong attraction of investment in the industrial sector. With a synchronously planned and well-connected infrastructure system, Hung Ha district is an attractive destination for investors. In 2024 and early 2025, Hung Ha attracted 14 investment projects to the district, of which 11 are domestic investment projects with a total registered capital of more than 2,700 billion VND; 3 projects with foreign investment capital with a total registered capital of over 50 million USD. These projects will continue to create development momentum not only in 2025 but also in the following years.

Among the projects being implemented in Hung Ha, many are large-scale, aiming at sustainable development, linking industrial production with environmental protection, developing tourism and creating long-term livelihoods for people. One of the outstanding projects is the Duyen Hai mineral water exploitation, production and hot mineral resort project invested by Nhan Binh Joint Stock Company. The project is implemented on an area of ​​12 hectares (phase 1 is 4.87 hectares), with a total investment of nearly 163 billion VND. The scale of the project includes a mineral water exploitation and bottling factory, hot mineral bath area, resort, restaurant - cafe, landscape stream, flower garden... It is expected that the bottled mineral water service will operate in the fourth quarter of 2025, the remaining items will be put into operation in the third quarter of 2027. The project is of great significance, opening up a new direction for development in resort tourism and mineral water processing industry in the locality. Mr. Pham Van Nhiem, Secretary of the Duyen Hai Commune Party Committee, said: This is a major project, changing the economic structure from pure agriculture to hot mineral resort tourism, experience, creating jobs for local people. After the project is put into operation, Duyen Hai will become a center connecting the development of economic tourism in the region, continuing to call for investors to further develop the homeland.

Along with tourism development, the food processing industry is also becoming a new highlight of the district. The food processing factory project of Kim Minh Hoa Food Joint Stock Company in Hung Nhan Industrial Park specializes in processing chicken feet, chicken wings, minced meat, and packaged instant meat pieces with an area of ​​9,125m2 and a total investment of 142 billion ^VND . The design capacity is up to tens of millions of products/year, ensuring supply for both domestic and foreign markets. The project not only increases the value of industrial production but also creates jobs for hundreds of workers, and is the beginning of a modern food industry value chain in the locality. Mr. Pham Kim Kha, Director of Kim Minh Hoa Food Joint Stock Company shared: We are not only investing in a factory but are laying the foundation for a modern food production value chain right in Hung Ha. With the advantage of synchronous infrastructure, open investment attraction policies and abundant human resources, we believe that Hung Ha will not only be a production site, but also an industrial connection center for the entire Red River Delta region. This is the beginning of a long-term, sustainable development journey.

Rising to become the growth pole in the Northwest of the province

Not only large-scale projects, the industrial economic picture in Hung Ha is also highlighted by the strong rise of hundreds of small and medium-sized enterprises operating vigorously in the area. According to statistics, the district currently has nearly 500 enterprises, spread across most fields such as: industrial production, small-scale industry, agricultural processing, high-tech livestock farming, mechanical engineering and production of products serving the livestock industry... The strong development of this group of enterprises has contributed to creating stable jobs for thousands of local workers, especially young workers in rural areas. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuan, Hung Nhan town said: Before, I was mainly a freelancer, earning only 2 - 3 million VND per month. Since working as a worker for a factory near my house, I have had a stable income of 7 - 9 million VND per month, have insurance and have time to take care of my family. Life has changed dramatically, I feel secure and committed for the long term.

In addition, the district has 7/13 industrial clusters established and gradually put into operation with a total area of ​​over 352.82 hectares, attracting 50 investment projects and investment registrations, with an occupancy rate of over 52%. Not only stopping at planning, Hung Ha is also taking the lead in investing in industrial cluster infrastructure in the direction of "going one step ahead", in order to create a ready space for businesses to deploy as soon as they are licensed. Mr. Bui Hao Duong, Deputy Head of the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department of Hung Ha district said: We determine that attracting businesses is only the first step, and for businesses to develop long-term, infrastructure must come first. Therefore, the district pays special attention to synchronous investment in items such as internal traffic, electricity systems, water supply and drainage, environmental treatment, etc. The ultimate goal is to create the most favorable environment to optimize production and business efficiency for businesses.

Mr. Tran Huu Nam, Secretary of Hung Ha District Party Committee affirmed: With a favorable geographical location, with many key traffic routes running through, the rapid transformation of the economic structure towards industrial, trade and service development is an inevitable direction. Therefore, in the first quarter of 2025, the total industrial production value of the district reached 3,255.5 billion VND, an increase of 3.58% over the same period. Hung Ha is aiming to become a growth pole connecting with the development triangle of Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh, opening up opportunities to attract FDI capital flows as well as investors in the fields of trade and services. Not only focusing on economic development, Hung Ha also implements vocational training programs, improves the quality of human resources, and improves the living environment to meet the needs of businesses.
