In the 2025-2026 school year, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted will enroll 560 students in grade 10, divided into 16 classes. Currently, the school has enough classrooms and functional rooms that meet the standards to prepare for enrollment and admission of grade 10 students. Recently, the school organized a "Grade 10 Admissions Consulting Day" for grade 9 students with the participation of many teachers and students from high-quality secondary schools across the province. At the admissions consulting day, students were provided with detailed and timely information by teachers, students and alumni of Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted; they were consulted and shared experiences on effective learning methods as the grade 10 admissions day is approaching.
Tran Quoc Toan Primary School (Nam Dinh city) enrolls 210 students in grade 1 and divides them into 6 classes for the 2025-2026 school year. Currently, the school has enough classrooms and functional rooms with desks, chairs, anti-glare magnetic boards, modern equipment such as computers, projectors, speakers, etc. to ensure standards and quality for welcoming students. The teaching staff has solid expertise, enthusiasm, and love for the profession. 100% of staff and teachers meet or exceed standards. In preparation for receiving grade 1 students, the school has reviewed teaching equipment; reviewed and assessed the current situation, determined the needs of teachers for each subject and class to advise and develop a plan to arrange and deploy the teaching staff to ensure good implementation of the new school year'seducation program.
Primary schools: Pham Hong Thai, Tran Nhan Tong - are units that build high-quality educational institutions and are also actively preparing enrollment plans. This new school year, Pham Hong Thai Primary School will enroll 5 classes with 175 students, Tran Nhan Tong Primary School will enroll 6 classes with 210 students... The work of preparing facilities, human resources, and equipment for the new school year is also being planned by the schools to be implemented immediately after the end of the school year.
Implementing the enrollment plan for the 2025-2026 school year of the Provincial People's Committee and the People's Committees of districts and cities, all levels of education in the province (preschool, primary, secondary and high school) are actively preparing for enrollment at the beginning of the school year. In the preschool sector, preschool education institutions mobilize 100% of 5-year-old children (under universal education) in the area to go to school. Based on the actual conditions of the locality, preschool education institutions mobilize children under 5 years old (with attention paid to children aged 3 and 4) to go to school and classes in public and private schools. For the primary sector, primary schools mobilize 100% of 6-year-old children (under universal education), pay attention to mobilizing children with disabilities who are able to integrate into the learning environment in the communes, wards and towns assigned to universalize education to grade 1; ensure that primary education is compulsory. For Nam Dinh city, the primary school block plans to enroll 4,883 students into 140 first grade classes. In particular, the schools: Pham Hong Thai, Tran Quoc Toan and Tran Nhan Tong will conduct admission based on valid admission registration files, synthesize the results report to the city's Department of Education and Training for approval. If the number of admission registration files exceeds the quota, the schools will consider to enroll enough quota according to the following criteria: Children of families with preferential policies (children of martyrs, wounded soldiers; children of soldiers working at the border, islands...); priority will be given to students in areas that are overloaded with admission to first grade. The remaining primary schools will conduct admission according to assigned areas.
In the secondary school sector, schools mobilize 100% of students who have completed primary school, are of the prescribed age, have valid records in the communes, wards and towns assigned to universalize education to grade 6; create conditions for students with difficult circumstances to go to school, not to have students drop out of school due to family economic difficulties; focus on mobilizing disabled children with the ability to integrate into school. The secondary school sector in Nam Dinh city plans to enroll 5,875 students into 133 grade 6 classes, the enrollment method follows the enrollment plan of the city People's Committee. Tran Dang Ninh Secondary School will enroll 9 classes with 315 students; My Hung Secondary School will enroll 2 grade 6 classes with 70 students; the method combines enrollment with survey and assessment of student capacity. The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Education and Training to adjust the enrollment schedule accordingly in case the Ministry of Education and Training adjusts the school year schedule due to the impact of natural disasters and epidemics.
For high school students, according to the enrollment plan of the Provincial People's Committee, in the 2025-2026 school year, the whole province will enroll 21,044 students in grade 10 of public and non-public high schools, including: 18,074 students in grade 10 of public schools (of which 560 students will enroll in Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted) and 2,970 students in grade 10 of non-public schools.
This year, under the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the entrance exam for grade 10 high school (both specialized and non-specialized) will be organized in one exam (according to Decision No. 522/QD-UBND dated February 28, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee). The exam will take place on three days, June 3, 4 and 5. Candidates taking the entrance exam for grade 10 high school must complete three exams: Math, Literature and Foreign Language. Candidates applying to Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted will take an additional specialized exam, the exam content will ensure the selection of students with talent in the registered specialized subject.
Along with the enrollment work, the Department of Education and Training assigned the Department of Education and Training of districts, cities, and schools to proactively forecast the number of students for the new school year, thereby planning to prepare conditions for facilities and teaching staff according to regulations; actively review the school network, increase investment in facilities; organize reasonable enrollment routes, avoid the situation of overloading in some places and having few students in others. Along with preparing well the enrollment conditions, schools plan to supplement teaching equipment suitable for the new general education program; focus on training staff and teachers. In particular, schools in Nam Dinh city need to pay attention to improving the uniformity of facilities and education quality, implementing reasonable transfers of managers and teachers between schools in the area, increasing support for facilities, investing funds for disadvantaged schools, ensuring that students in the area enjoy equal access to educational resources and resources.
