To ensure a safe and meaningful holiday, from the beginning of the month, the Provincial Police Department has synchronously deployed measures to ensure security and order, creating favorable conditions for people to have fun, have a safe holiday, and have smooth traffic. Implement measures to attack and suppress all types of crimes, focusing on criminal offenses, drugs, theft, etc. Crowded areas, key routes, entertainment and tourism areas are regularly patrolled and controlled by forces. Implementing Official Dispatch No. 39/CD-TTg dated April 17, 2025 of the Prime Minister on ensuring traffic order and safety to serve people's travel needs during the April 30 - May 1 holiday and the peak summer tourism season in 2025, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee announces the hotline number to receive and handle information reflecting on the situation of traffic order and safety, traffic accidents in the province. Accordingly, the hotline numbers to receive and handle information on traffic congestion, road infrastructure, road transport, bus stations, etc., the units on duty and handling the issues are publicized on the mass media for people to promptly report. The traffic police force arranges forces to be on duty and command 24/7. They proactively assign and arrange patrol and control teams on provincial roads, focusing on strictly handling violations such as: Using alcohol and beer while driving, speeding, not following the road, lane and other direct causes of traffic accidents. During the 5-day holiday, 578 officers and soldiers participated in patrolling and controlling on traffic routes; recorded and handled 457 violations; revoked driving licenses 4 times, and temporarily detained 185 vehicles.

In particular, with the desire to support people on their way back to their hometowns to celebrate the holiday with their families, the Traffic Police Department organized the distribution of water, bread, gasoline and leaflets to disseminate the regulations of the Law on Traffic Safety and Order, rules for safe traffic participation... at 5 locations: City, Hoa An, Ha Quang, Thach An, Bao Lac.

The city is the center of vibrant cultural, entertainment and recreational activities with many activities of the province, attracting a large number of tourists with a system of hotels, motels, restaurants, and entertainment areas. Since mid-April, the City People's Committee has issued a plan to organize activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), including outstanding activities such as: Art programs; folk games, cultural and artistic activities along Kim Dong walking street, Bang riverside walking street; displaying photos of Cao Bang mountains and rivers... The people of Cao Bang are friendly, hospitable, and have a rich variety of regional specialties.

During the holidays, on-duty work, ensuring security, order and safety; medical work, disease prevention, food hygiene and safety, ready to respond to arising medical situations, ensuring health care for people in the area; Strengthening propaganda, fire prevention and fighting to raise people's awareness in fire prevention. In addition, in order to ensure security and safety, contributing to ensuring people's recreational and entertainment activities, especially the walking street during the holidays, the City strengthens and coordinates with the police force to ensure security and order in the area, creating a safe and attractive destination for tourists.

According to Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen The Hoan, during the recent holiday, the forces strictly maintained the leadership, command, and on-duty regime; proactively handled all arising situations. Increased patrols, controls, and timely handling of situations, contributing to maintaining stability for residents and tourists. During the holiday, no complicated or serious incidents occurred, and traffic in the area was basically smooth and safe.

Ban Gioc Waterfall tourist area gradually improves quality, attracting tourists.

At tourist attractions, historical sites attract a large number of people and tourists to visit and experience. Tourist areas implement plans to welcome guests, invest in repairing and adding items to welcome guests during the holidays. At Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourist Area, implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organizes the implementation of the plan "Strengthening management and ensuring security and order, improving service quality at Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourist Area" and propaganda work, supporting people to dismantle and move tents and shops at the foot of the waterfall to the concentrated area, organize concentrated parking lots, travel by electric cars in the tourist area, solving the phenomenon of traffic congestion and loss of security and order in the tourist area. However, due to the large number of visitors, many locals and tourists were not familiar with the new organization method, so on May 2, the peak day with over 8,400 visitors caused local congestion. The Management Board of Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourist Area quickly handled and reported, proposing solutions to improve the quality of customer service most effectively. During the entire holiday, Ban Gioc Waterfall welcomed 20,176 visitors, of which 19,080 were domestic visitors and 1,096 were international visitors, an increase of 144% over the same period in 2024.
