Donning a new splendid coat, Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago has just been awarded the title of World Natural Heritage by UNESCO.
60km from Hai Phong city center by sea, Cat Ba archipelago appears as a wild and majestic natural picture with an area of 31,150ha and 388 large and small islands. This place was honored by UNESCO as a world biosphere reserve in 2004, a special national scenic spot - monument in 2013 and now a world natural heritage of Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba archipelago in 2024.

With majestic limestone mountains, primeval forests, peaceful bays and magical caves, Cat Ba is a vivid natural picture, a convergence of biodiversity both on land and under the sea.
Prominent among them is the Cat Ba Langur, an endemic primate that only exists here, along with more than 3,000 other species of animals and plants, many of which are listed in the Red Book of Vietnam and the world.

Ha Long Bay covers an area of approximately 1,553 km², including more than 1,600 large and small islands, including more than 900 limestone islands. The bay is famous for its majestic natural landscape, with undulating limestone islands, mysterious caves and pristine beaches.
