Lam Dong focuses on thoroughly handling corruption, waste, and negativity cases

On the morning of October 17, the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity of Lam Dong province held its second meeting.

Comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for Prevention and Control of Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity of Lam Dong Province chaired the meeting.

Comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Head of the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity of Lam Dong province chaired the meeting. Attending the meeting were comrades who are members of the Steering Committee, leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, relevant departments, branches and units.

According to the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, in the first 9 months of 2025, the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity in the area has had many positive changes. The Steering Committee has issued working regulations, assigned tasks, and developed a work program for the end of 2025 to implement promptly and without interruption.

Party committees, party organizations, and functional agencies strive to coordinate and closely follow instructions, contributing to improving the effectiveness of preventing and handling violations.

The Steering Committee focuses on directing the fight against waste in land management, public assets, and project implementation. At the same time, the Steering Committee requires overcoming limitations in coordination and thoroughly handling complicated cases and incidents that are of public concern.

Inspection, examination, supervision, and complaint and denunciation settlement work continue to be strengthened. The Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee review, classify, and handle projects that are behind schedule, have long backlogs, and are at risk of loss and waste.

At the meeting, the Steering Committee agreed to end and remove eligible cases and incidents from monitoring and direction. At the same time, the Steering Committee determined the task for the last 3 months of 2025 to continue to strengthen supervision, speed up the investigation progress, and handle outstanding cases.

Lam Dong Provincial Party Secretary Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam delivered a concluding speech at the 2nd meeting of the Steering Committee for Prevention and Control of Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity in Lam Dong affirmed that the fight against corruption, waste and negativity has always been identified by Lam Dong as an important and continuous task.

This work plays an important role in the context of restructuring the apparatus, operating the two-level local government and implementing the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress, towards the National Party Congress.

The Steering Committee must focus on directing the more synchronous and effective implementation of solutions to prevent and combat corruption, waste, and negativity, especially early and remote prevention. Units must promptly detect and overcome shortcomings to perfect institutions and laws.

Delegates highly agreed with the contents at the 2nd meeting of the Steering Committee for prevention and control of corruption, waste and negativity in Lam Dong.

The Provincial Party Secretary also requested to strengthen the people's supervisory role in the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity, creating conditions for people to directly reflect and denounce corruption, waste, and negativity.

In particular, the Steering Committee requested to speed up the progress of inspection, examination, investigation, and handling of corruption, waste, and negativity cases under monitoring and direction, and not to let old cases drag on into the new term.
