During the summer break, Nguyen Thi Minh Hien, a second-year student at Thai Nguyen University in Lao Cai (pictured above), asked her parents for permission to stay in the city to work at a coffee shop. Making drinks and participating in the activities of the shop not only helps Hien gain more knowledge and skills in work and life, but also earns an additional income of about 3 - 4 million VND/month to take care of the new school year. Nguyen Thi Minh Hien, a student at Thai Nguyen University in Lao Cai, shared: "I find this job quite comfortable and suitable for my studies. I study tourism , so working at a coffee shop helps me practice my skills in making drinks, serving customers, and skills directly related to my major."
With her talent for dancing, this summer Mai Chi applied for a part-time job at a dance troupe. With flexible working hours to suit her interests, Mai Chi not only has an extra income, but also trains her confidence and teamwork spirit. Nguyen Mai Chi, a student at Thai Nguyen University in Lao Cai, shared: "I am quite an introvert. This job helps me improve my communication skills and become more confident in front of a crowd, which is an important skill for me."
