Lang Son City is an area with high traffic density, where young people often gather to race, weave, and violate alcohol levels, causing traffic disorder. On the front line of ensuring people's safety, the working group of Traffic Police Team No. 1, Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police, in charge of the city, always upholds the spirit of responsibility and seriousness in each shift.
Captain Hoang Minh Tien, Deputy Captain of Traffic Police Team No. 1, shared: Learning from Uncle Ho, we are always resolute in handling violations, but always close and gentle so that they not only comply but also voluntarily correct themselves.
Not only on inner-city routes, the sense of responsibility for the people is also clearly demonstrated in the localities. A typical example is the Tung Dien Traffic Police Station, the unit responsible for ensuring traffic safety on National Highway 1A, from km36+100 (Nhan Ly commune, Chi Lang district) to km94+730 (Minh Son commune, Huu Lung district). Given the characteristics of the route with high traffic density and potential safety risks, the station has organized its forces into 3 working groups in charge of each road section.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Viet Thanh, Head of Tung Dien Traffic Police Station, imbued with Uncle Ho's teachings, each officer and soldier always upholds a sense of responsibility. From regulating, guiding, handling violations to coordinating the handling of complex situations on the road, everything is carried out seriously. From 2024 to present, the station has organized nearly 3,400 patrols, handled more than 11,500 violations, detected 10 law violations and organized nearly 30 propaganda sessions for over 16,400 people and students. During holidays and Tet, the station also sets up free rest stops, gives helmets, drinking water, raincoats, and supports vehicle inspection for road users.
With specific and practical ways of working, officers and soldiers of the Provincial Police Traffic Police Department are contributing to spreading the image of the People's Police soldiers close to the people. This spirit has spread widely throughout the force. Since the beginning of 2025, the Traffic Police Department has organized more than 7,700 patrols, handling nearly 13,560 violations, including 16 cases related to prohibited goods, counterfeit goods and illegal entry and exit, contributing to ensuring traffic safety and security and order.
Along with that, the Provincial Police Traffic Police Department also implemented effective administrative reform models, typically the "Friday morning without appointment" model from June 2024. This model allows people to complete vehicle registration procedures within the day if the documents are complete, helping to save time and travel costs.
Lieutenant Colonel Dong Thi Minh Vu, Deputy Head of the Road Vehicle Registration and Management Team, said: The model demonstrates the spirit of "learning from Uncle Ho", working for the people, aiming at people's satisfaction. After nearly a year of implementing the model, the force has completed the registration procedures for more than 2,700 vehicles, contributing to improving the efficiency of vehicle registration and management in the area.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hoa, residing in Vinh Trai ward, Lang Son city shared: I am very satisfied with the professional and quick working style of the traffic police officers and soldiers. In just one day, I received the license plate number instead of having to wait until next week like before.
Not only dedicated to their professional duties, traffic police officers also actively participate in community activities. From 2024 to present, the Traffic Police Department has organized many social security programs such as distributing drinking water, bread, and raincoats to people returning to their hometowns during holidays and Tet; propagating traffic laws to more than 2,500 people; presenting 700 gifts to students and poor households in Van Quan, Binh Gia; participating in the temporary housing elimination program in Loc Binh district. These small but practical actions have left a deep impression on people's hearts.
Lieutenant Colonel Phuong Thuc Dinh, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police, shared: Every action, no matter how small, if done with sincerity, can create great value. Learning from Uncle Ho is not only through words, but also through daily actions. In the coming time, the Traffic Police Department will continue to promote political and ideological education, tighten discipline and public service discipline, associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. Along with that, the unit will increase the application of technology in management, operation and handling of traffic violations in a modern and effective manner; continue to build models and initiatives to serve the people, especially reforming administrative procedures, shortening the time to process records, creating the most favorable conditions for the people.
From the simplest things, the yellow-shirt soldiers are contributing every day to building the image of the People's Police as dedicated and devoted to the people; not only on the front of ensuring traffic safety and order, but also on the journey of spreading love and responsibility to the community.
