On July 23, the Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony to present the President's decision to officers going on a peacekeeping mission to the United Nations MINUSCA Mission (Central African Republic).
Accordingly, the MINUSCA Mission in the Central African Republic is one of the armed missions of the United Nations. The deployment of Task Force No. 6 to the MINUSCA Mission is the first time the Ministry of Public Security has deployed peacekeeping forces to perform tasks at an armed mission. This contributes to affirming the capacity of the Vietnam People's Public Security Force in UN peacekeeping activities, while drawing necessary knowledge and experience for the preparation and deployment of the Peacekeeping Police Unit No. 1 in the field.
