According to the reporter's research, over the past years, specifically since 2019, every March, the row of trumpet trees on Hung Vuong Street blooms beautifully, attracting thousands of visitors from the Mekong Delta to visit and take photos.

The trumpet rose is also known as the pink bell tree, with the scientific name Tabebuia rosea and belongs to the Bignoniaceae family. The trumpet rose tree originated from the Americas, then was introduced and grown in many Asian countries, including Vietnam.

The trumpet tree is often planted as an ornamental plant in parks and along roadsides because the flowers are very beautiful and bloom in unison during the dry season (usually from February to April in Vietnam). When the flowers bloom, the tree loses almost all its leaves, leaving only clusters of bright pink flowers, creating an extremely poetic landscape.

The flowers of the trumpet vine are pale pink to deep pink, blooming in brilliant clusters, looking very much like cherry blossoms and so are sometimes called "tropical cherries".
