Each individual and collective honored comes from many different fields of work, has different roles, but together they make efforts to learn and follow Uncle Ho's example, contributing to spreading good values in life.

Set an example to spread Uncle Ho's thoughts

While leisurely walking in Happiness Park in front of Le Van Thinh Hospital, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tu (living in Ben Tre province) took the opportunity to talk on the phone with his relatives in his hometown. Occasionally, Mr. Tu filmed the park for his relatives to watch on the phone. Having to stay in the hospital for treatment, but being able to walk and do daily activities by himself, Mr. Tu stayed alone. "Staying in the room for too long made my legs feel restless, so I came down here to walk around for some fresh air. The park is equipped with wifi, so I took the opportunity to talk to my family without bothering the people in the same room," Mr. Tu shared.

Happiness Park was conceived from the idea of Dr. Tran Van Khanh, Director of Le Van Thinh Hospital (Thu Duc City), approved by the local authorities and mobilized by the hospital's doctors and nurses to build it. "Going to the hospital is inevitable when sick, but we always try to find ways to make patients feel more comfortable when they are in the hospital for treatment," Dr. Tran Van Khanh shared.

Doctor Tran Thi Phuong, Secretary of the Youth Union of Le Van Thinh Hospital, informed that witnessing the dedication and devotion of Doctor Tran Van Khanh, at first the hospital's medical staff tried to follow suit. However, later, those tasks became a habit, everyone saw that patients were in difficulty and automatically helped, as a very natural reflex in work and daily life.

With that goal, in the hospital campus there is also the Happiness Kitchen, providing about 400 free lunches every day for patients and their relatives. As an exemplary role, Dr. Tran Van Khanh has implemented and led the hospital's doctors and nurses to carry out many activities aimed at patients and the community. If patients want to feel secure during treatment, doctors and medical staff must be like family. Perhaps that is why, in addition to professional work, Dr. Tran Van Khanh spends a lot of time visiting each department and ward to visit and encourage patients, and to support those who have difficulties. That exemplary role has spread, and doctors and nurses in each ward and ward are imbued with the idea that "patients coming to the hospital are not only treated but also cared for and visited". From there, doctors and nurses have learned about many cases of the 3 no's (no relatives, no identification papers, no money) and have shared in supporting these cases.

In addition, Dr. Tran Van Khanh also participated in many medical examination trips to remote areas to support people in difficulty. He looked at Uncle Ho's example to do those little things, with the belief that life is not only for himself but also for those around him.

In District 1, when facing legal problems, people often seek out Ms. Hoang Thi Loi, non-professional Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of District 1, member of the District 1 Bar Association. The familiar image that relatives and friends see every day is an elderly woman, working hard at a computer. “I regularly update information, policies, and regulations of newly issued laws to promptly support people when they need it. Following Uncle Ho in lifelong learning to improve my own knowledge and support others when they are in urgent need is also what makes me happy,” Ms. Hoang Thi Loi confided. Besides providing legal support and advice, she also participates in local community activities: directly contributing and mobilizing benefactors to donate health insurance cards to disadvantaged households; supporting hospital fees for poor children...

Mr. Ho Van Buu, Head of Quarter 1, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, said that although she is 73 years old, Ms. Hoang Thi Loi is very enthusiastic. She attends most meetings and contributes positive ideas. "The people of the quarter are lucky to have Ms. Loi's support. In every activity that people need, she is there to help," said Mr. Ho Van Buu.

Recently, Mr. DV (residing in Binh Chanh District) filed a complaint with the Ho Chi Minh City Inspectorate requesting a resolution to the case related to compensation for site clearance to implement a project in the area but not ensuring the rights of his family. Upon receiving Mr. DV's complaint, the Ho Chi Minh City Inspectorate sent a working group to verify and dialogue with the people and relevant parties to clarify the matter. Through the process of handling the documents, the Ho Chi Minh City Inspectorate clarified the problems; studied and applied the most beneficial regulations for the people and recommended that the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee direct the resolution, ensuring the legitimate and legal rights of Mr. DV's family.

Chief Inspector of Ho Chi Minh City Tran Van Bay shared that over the years, the Ho Chi Minh City Inspectorate has always thoroughly informed each civil servant and inspector in performing their duties. Thereby, making studying and following Uncle Ho a voluntary and regular task of all Party members, civil servants and workers.

Chief Inspector of Ho Chi Minh City Tran Van Bay commented that, up to now, Uncle Ho's ideology, morality and style have gradually permeated the awareness of each cadre and civil servant, transforming into daily activities in performing public duties and in life. Especially in receiving citizens, resolving complaints, denunciations and reflections; issuing apology letters in cases of overdue complaints... Thereby reducing mass complaints, preventing the emergence of more "hot spots".

Having visited the Ho Chi Minh City Inspectorate a few times, Ms. TTĐ. (living in Nha Be District) said she was very touched by the thoughtful and attentive attitude of the officers and inspectors of the Ho Chi Minh City Inspectorate. “I came here feeling both pressured and frustrated, but the officers accepted and explained my case in detail, so I felt warm inside,” Ms. TTĐ. shared.
