Quang Nam Provincial leaders request to renovate or rebuild Koi bridge as committed

According to the announcement, the provincial leaders assigned the Department of Transport to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committee of Hoi An City and the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board to be responsible for working and requesting Vietnam Vitour Tourism Joint Stock Company (owner of Koi Bridge) to properly implement the committed content on June 24, 2024.

At the same time, the enterprise is required to research and implement investment in renovating or building a new Koi bridge to serve the Koi Resort & Spa Hoi An project, ensuring completion before or at the same time as the new Phuoc Trach bridge investment and construction as requested by the Department of Transport.

Koi Bridge (iron bridge) is located at Km3+950. According to the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the bridge has a clearance of (15x4.5)m, so it is very dangerous for ships and boats to dredge the Co Co River channel and must depend on the tide.

This bridge was previously granted a temporary construction permit by the Department of Transport of Quang Nam in Document No. 13 dated September 5, 2001.
