Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of An Giang province Le Van Nung acknowledged the contributions of the provincial Buddhist Sangha and congratulated the Buddha's Birthday.
Provincial leaders present gifts to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province
Venerable Thich Thien Thong expressed his deep gratitude for the attention of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.
In a solemn and warm atmosphere, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of An Giang province Le Van Nung, on behalf of the provincial leaders, sent congratulations to the monks, dignitaries, officials of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province and Buddhists in the area to welcome the Buddha's Birthday season in peace and happiness.
Comrade Le Van Nung expressed his appreciation for the positive contributions of Buddhist establishments and Buddhists to the cause of building and developing the province's economy and society. Provincial leaders acknowledged and highly appreciated the charitable, humanitarian and social security activities carried out by pagodas, monasteries and Buddhists, contributing to spreading the spirit of compassion and generosity of Buddhism in the community.
Implementing the Central's policy, An Giang and Kien Giang provinces will merge into the new An Giang province. Comrade Le Van Nung hopes that the Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha will encourage monks, nuns, and Buddhists to support the Central's policy in arranging administrative units at the provincial and communal levels, and together with the country, enter the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.
In response to the sentiments of the provincial leaders, Venerable Thich Thien Thong (Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province) expressed his deep gratitude for the attention of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province. At the same time, he affirmed that he will continue to guide monks, nuns, and Buddhists to well implement the policies of the Party and State, promote the fine traditions of Buddhism, and accompany the government and people to build An Giang province to be more and more civilized and prosperous.
On this occasion, the provincial leadership delegation presented meaningful gifts to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province, expressing their concern and sharing; hoping that Buddhist establishments in the province will continue to promote their role in the spiritual life of the people, contributing to building the great national unity bloc, a good and peaceful society.
