Provincial People's Committee leaders work with the Korean Import Bank delegation

Attending the meeting were senior experts of KEXIM in Seoul and Hanoi ; leaders of departments, branches and sectors of Tuyen Quang province and leaders of Tuyen Quang City People's Committee.

On August 12, 2024, the Prime Minister of Vietnam approved the proposal for the Road Project from Tuyen Quang City Center to My Lam Mineral Spring Tourist Area with an investment scale of construction of a road with a total length of 7.6km (including the main route, branch routes and branches connecting to residential roads).

The total investment of the route is 41.677 million USD, equivalent to 996.866 billion VND. Of which, the loan capital from the Economic Development Cooperation Fund, KEXIM is 776.383 billion VND, the rest is the local counterpart capital. The project implementation period is 4 years, from the date the Loan Agreement takes effect.

Comrade Nguyen Manh Tuan, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting.

At the meeting, the KEXIM delegation heard a report on the progress of the project implementation in Tuyen Quang province; the KEXIM delegation introduced the shortened bidding method of the Economic Development Cooperation Fund as well as the contents to note when preparing bidding documents and wished to follow this new bidding process.

The two sides exchanged, discussed and agreed on the next steps to soon sign the Loan Agreement and agreed on the process and method of organizing the implementation of the Project after approval.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Manh Tuan emphasized that the investment in the construction of the above-mentioned route is an important basis for developing a modern urban space to connect with key economic areas inside and outside the province; leading and activating private sector investment, exploiting the maximum potential of My Lam mineral spring tourist area, contributing to promoting socio-economic development for Tuyen Quang city in particular and Tuyen Quang province in general.
Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee commits to create all favorable conditions, cooperate closely and effectively with KEXIM; ensure counterpart funds from the local budget in accordance with the regulations of the sponsor. At the same time, resolutely direct relevant departments and branches to organize and implement the project to ensure completion according to the set plan.
