This is a contest launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union; Vietnam Women's Newspaper in collaboration with the Tobacco Harm Prevention Fund ( Ministry of Health ) to innovate communication methods, increase the spread of messages to protect public health, especially women and children.


The contest aims to build a healthy lifestyle and a smoke-free environment. At the same time, it encourages the creation of dance products - folk dances with content to propagate the prevention of the harmful effects of tobacco in the community.
Participating in the contest, the work of Muong Khuong Commune Women's Union won second prize and the work of Bao Thang Commune Women's Union won third prize.
The competition entry in the form of a folk dance team was created by the Women's Union of Muong Khuong commune and the Women's Union of Bao Thang commune on the background music of a song about preventing the harmful effects of tobacco.
The performances were elaborately choreographed, using even, beautiful, and musical movements; performed rhythmically, energetically, lively, joyfully, and expressively. Through this, the teams contributed to vividly illustrating and enhancing the effectiveness of conveying messages about preventing and combating the harmful effects of tobacco to the community.
This achievement contributes to affirming the proactiveness and positivity of Lao Cai women in communication work on public health, while strongly spreading the message of building a smoke-free living environment.
