Lao Cai completes the target of 70% of people having VNeID accounts

CTTĐT - With persistent and drastic efforts in implementation, Lao Cai province has officially completed the goal of 70% of people having VNeID electronic identification accounts - earlier than the plan set for 2025.

According to the latest statistics from Lao Cai Provincial Police, up to now, the whole province has received 1,780,006 applications for citizen identification cards and 1,260,276 applications for electronic identification accounts, reaching 96.93% of the number of citizens aged 14 and over; 947,197 accounts have been activated, accounting for 72.85% of the total number of eligible citizens and exceeding the target of 70% set by the province for 2025.

Police force supports people to register and activate VNeID electronic identification accounts.

In the coming time, Lao Cai Provincial Police will continue to receive applications for eligible citizens, issue ID certificates, guide people to use the VNeID application, and promote direct propaganda in communes and villages.

The early completion of the goal of people having VNeID electronic identification accounts is an important step in the local digital transformation process, contributing to bringing many conveniences and opening up many opportunities for people to access public services conveniently, quickly and transparently./.
