Lao Cai is ready for the Provincial Fatherland Front Congress

To successfully organize the 16th Lao Cai Provincial Fatherland Front Congress (term 2024 - 2029), the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has proactively developed a plan early and issued documents guiding the preparation and organization of the Congress. The process of developing documents for the Congress and the personnel work process is carried out to ensure democracy, objectivity, and closely follow the spirit of Directive 22 of the Secretariat, the Instructions of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the direction of the province.

Mr. Giang Seo Van - Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial Fatherland Front Committee said that the Political Report submitted to the Congress was carefully and elaborately prepared, accurately assessing the current situation and results of the implementation of the Resolution of the Provincial Fatherland Front Congress in the past term. Along with that, it highlighted the methods and results of campaigns and emulation movements, and at the same time drew lessons to effectively implement the action program of the Lao Cai Provincial Fatherland Front in the coming term.

In particular, in the coming term, the personnel work has received special attention from the Party Delegation and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee. Based on the guidance of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the personnel structure of the new term Fatherland Front Committee, in addition to inheritance, also focuses on innovation, expanding the composition of ethnic minorities, prestigious people, experts in various fields, focusing on the proportion of non-Party members, the proportion of women... to improve the quality of the Front staff in the new term.

“With the new Provincial Fatherland Front Committee personnel, the Party Delegation and the Standing Committee of the Lao Cai Provincial Fatherland Front Committee have consulted with agencies and units to ensure that in this term there will be an increase in experts in various fields, prestigious people and religious dignitaries. The Committee members in the structure are experts in various fields, prestigious people at the grassroots level, experienced people, healthy enough, prestigious enough and influential enough to perform well the role of the Front work as the center of the great solidarity bloc” - Mr. Van informed.

Along with the best preparation of conditions towards the successful organization of the Congress, the Standing Committee of the Lao Cai Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has launched special emulation campaigns to welcome the Congress with specific works and tasks. In localities, the Fatherland Front at all levels has mobilized resources to carry out nearly 1,300 practical and meaningful works and tasks such as building Great Unity houses for poor households; constructing and repairing civil works such as rural roads, power lines, flower roads, flag roads; implementing livelihood support models to support poor and near-poor households. The Lao Cai Provincial Fatherland Front Committee alone has started and completed 20 Great Unity houses for poor households and the "Electricity Road" project in Nam Luc commune, Bac Ha district. In districts and cities, the emulation movement has received consensus and widespread response from the Fatherland Front at all levels, member organizations and people, creating an exciting atmosphere to welcome the Congress. Through these practical activities, the Fatherland Front at all levels has demonstrated the spirit of "mutual love and support" of the community and society to encourage and help people in especially difficult circumstances with housing and livelihood models, thereby helping poor households stabilize their housing, work and produce with peace of mind, and gradually escape poverty sustainably.

Regarding the tasks for the 2024 - 2029 term, Mr. Giang Seo Van affirmed that, based on the requirements of the Front's work in the new situation, the Fatherland Front at all levels continues to emphasize social supervision and criticism activities; focus on implementing the completion of the emulation movement's goals nationwide to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025 along with implementing social security activities to care for the people; focus on building self-governing, united, prosperous and happy residential areas...
