1. Time of April 30th parade
The April 30th parade in Ho Chi Minh City will take place at 6:30 a.m. on April 30, 2025 , at the same time as the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification. However, before the official ceremony begins, related activities will take place at the following times:
- Parade rehearsal: Scheduled for April 25, 2025.
- Parade rehearsal: Scheduled to take place on April 27, 2025.
2. Parade route to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day
The parade will begin at 6:30 a.m. on April 30, with the parade starting from the intersection of Le Duan - Nguyen Binh Khiem and moving through the main roads of Ho Chi Minh City. The parade route includes four main directions, you can choose convenient locations along these routes to watch.
- Direction 1: From Thong Nhat Hall, the parade moves through Nam Ky Khoi Nghia - Le Loi - Nguyen Thi Nghia - Phu Dong Thien Vuong 6-way intersection - Cach Mang Thang 8 and gathers at Tao Dan Park.
- Direction 2: From Thong Nhat Hall, the group moves through Nam Ky Khoi Nghia - Le Thanh Ton - Nguyen Hue - Me Linh roundabout and gathers at Bach Dang Wharf.
- Direction 3: From Thong Nhat Hall, the delegation moves through Le Duan - Nam Ky Khoi Nghia - Nguyen Dinh Chieu - Dinh Tien Hoang and gathers at Hoa Lu Stadium.
- Direction 4: From Thong Nhat Hall, the delegation moves through Nam Ky Khoi Nghia - Hai Ba Trung and gathers at Le Van Tam Park.
3. Cannon fire and air show
One of the highlights of the April 30 parade is the cannon firing and air show:
- Cannon Shot: There will be 21 cannon shots to the Vietnamese National Anthem.
- Air show: Yak-130 and Su-30MK2 fighter jets, and Mi-8 and Mi-17 helicopters will participate in the show, creating impressive flying performances in the sky of Ho Chi Minh City.
4. Suggested locations to watch the parade live
Here are some places you can choose to watch the parade from different angles:
Corresponding to direction 1:
- Saigon Centre, Saigon Square, Takashimaya and Sedona Suites (high floors of these buildings give you a panoramic view of Le Loi and Nam Ky Khoi Nghia streets).
- Starbucks Coffee New World : This coffee shop is located on the ground floor of the New World Saigon hotel, giving you a great view of the parades.

- Rex Hotel, The Reverie, Sheraton and Kim Do : These hotels have panoramic views of Nguyen Hue Street and Me Linh Roundabout.

If you can't watch live, Ho Chi Minh City will provide 20 large screens at central locations to help you watch the parade from afar. Specifically:
- Le Duan: 6 screens.
- Nam Ky Khoi Nghia: 3 screens.
- Le Loi: 3 screens.
- Nguyen Hue: 2 screens.
- Dong Khoi: 2 screens.
- Dien Bien Phu: 2 screens.
- Nguyen Dinh Chieu: 2 screens.
6. Suggested locations to park your car to watch the parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day
It is recommended to take a motorbike taxi because there are road closures. However, if you take a private vehicle, please choose a safe parking lot near the festival area because there will be a lot of people attending the parade. Some parking locations:
- Hoa Lu Sports Center (2 Dinh Tien Hoang, District 1)
- Saigon Zoo and Botanical Garden (2 Nguyen Binh Khiem, District 1)
- Youth Cultural House (4 Pham Ngoc Thach, District 1)
- Tao Dan Park, Le Van Tam Park.
7. Important notes when participating in the parade
To have a safe and comfortable parade experience, there are a few important points to keep in mind:
- If you want a good spot to observe, you should come early, around 3-4 am is reasonable. And it is best to go in a group of at least 2 people to support each other when needed.
- Follow the instructions of the authorities, do not jostle. Maintain public hygiene, do not litter.
- Dress: You should wear polite, comfortable and gentle clothes. You can choose modernized Ao Dai or simple clothes such as shirts, T-shirts combined with jeans or skirts.
- Sun protection: Because the weather in Ho Chi Minh City is quite hot, bring a hat, cold towel, or a hand fan. Bring a spare charger to avoid running out of battery in the middle of the trip.
- Prepare snacks: To stay hydrated throughout the ceremony, you may want to bring water (especially electrolyte water) and snacks.
- Don't forget to bring your flag to join in the fun!
8. Other activities when not able to watch the parade
If you can't make it to the parade or want to do something after the ceremony ends, Ho Chi Minh City still has many interesting activities for you to explore :
- Visit historical sites: War Remnants Museum, Ho Chi Minh City History Museum, Nha Rong Wharf, Notre Dame Cathedral, 30/4 Park.
