In his speech at the 135th Birthday Anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh, Party Cell Secretary and Consul General of Vietnam in Guangzhou Nguyen Viet Dung affirmed that Comrade Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh was the one who "showed the way for the Vietnamese revolution", "a genius leader", "a great teacher" of the Vietnamese revolution. He was a national liberation hero, a world cultural celebrity, an exemplary international communist soldier and a close friend of the peoples who have been fighting for peace, national independence, democracy and social progress around the world.
"Celebrating Uncle Ho's birthday is an opportunity for each of us to remember the immense merits of President Ho Chi Minh, who devoted his whole life to the glorious revolutionary cause of our Party, our Nation, our people and international friends. His name and career will forever remain with our country, living forever in the hearts of our people and in the hearts of humanity.
President Ho Chi Minh left our Party, our people, and present and future generations an extremely valuable ideological legacy, a shining example of morality, style, and lifestyle," Party Cell Secretary and Consul General Nguyen Viet Dung emphasized.
This year's celebration of Uncle Ho's birthday held in Guangzhou has a very special meaning, right on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, a very special milestone in Vietnam-China relations and the 100th anniversary of the beloved Leader publishing Thanh Nien Newspaper (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), marking an important turning point in the journey to find a way to save the country of the Vietnamese people.
Thanh Nien newspaper was also a tool to propagate revolutionary theory, according to which the path to national liberation must be closely linked to class struggle and proletarian revolution. The newspaper was also a "revolutionary school" to train cadres with lectures by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc later collected into the book "Duong Kach Menh" (1927), the first revolutionary theory work, laying the ideological foundation for the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Attending the ceremony were party members from the Party Cells of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Kunming and Nanning. |
When mentioning President Ho Chi Minh's journey to find a way to save the country, it is impossible not to mention the period when he was active in China. Notably, during his time in Guangzhou, President Ho Chi Minh worked tirelessly, preparing all aspects of organization and training of cadres, theoretical work, propaganda, and building the initial foundation for revolutionary activities in Vietnam.
He founded the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association, the predecessor of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and founded the Thanh Nien newspaper - the first revolutionary newspaper of our country. Also here, leader Nguyen Ai Quoc and predecessors of the Vietnamese Revolution (such as comrade Le Hong Phong, comrade Nguyen Son...) actively participated in the activities of the Communist Party of China.
Therefore, it can be said that Uncle Ho's revolutionary activities in Guangzhou during the years 1924-1927 not only had a direct impact on the Vietnamese revolutionary movement, but also made an important contribution to the Chinese revolutionary movement, as well as the Communist International. This was also an important period in building a solid foundation for the deep friendship between the two Parties and peoples of Vietnam and China.

On this occasion, Party Cell Secretary and Consul General Nguyen Viet Dung was pleased to announce that General Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam had presented the Guangdong Museum of Revolutionary History with a model of the light sculpture 'Vietnam - Golden History Pages', in the shape of a history book, implying that Vietnamese history is a golden history book and President Ho Chi Minh is the one who wrote the brilliant golden pages in the contemporary history of the nation.
This is a gift of special significance, right on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of his birth, at the time when the exhibition "Revolutionary Path - Comrade Ho Chi Minh in China" is taking place from May 10 to August 10 in Guangzhou and moreover, right at the beginning of the Red Journey of research and study for young people, which General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong and General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping have just launched, during the state visit to Vietnam of Comrade Xi Jinping in April.
This is also a great source of encouragement in the Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year 2025 with the effective exploitation of the "red legacies" of the two countries' revolutions, with stories of friendship between the two peoples, so that the Vietnam-China friendship is inherited from generation to generation.

In an interview at the Guangdong Museum of Revolutionary History about the significance of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, Vietnamese Consul General in Guangzhou Nguyen Viet Dung affirmed that May 19 is considered an extremely important holiday for the Vietnamese people, because it is the birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, the great leader, national hero and respected father of all people.
Uncle Ho's birthday is celebrated every year to commemorate an important milestone in the nation's history. The birth of President Ho Chi Minh initiated a great change for the Vietnamese people. He left to find a way to save the country at the age of 21 and had to go through many hardships to find a way to save the country and liberate the nation under the domination of colonialism and imperialism for many years.
Therefore, Uncle Ho's birthday is an occasion for people to remember his contributions to building the beloved Fatherland and remind Vietnamese descendants of any generation to always remember his great contributions and sacrifices to bring freedom and happiness to the people.
