On the morning of March 24 in Hanoi, the Organizing Committee of the 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32) of the host country Cambodia and representatives of the Cambodian Embassy in Hanoi coordinated with the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, the Vietnam Olympic Committee and related units to organize the SEA Games 32 torch relay ceremony. Also attending were more than 200 athletes of Vietnam Sports and nearly 100 Cambodian students studying in Vietnam.
Sharing at the ceremony, Mr. Hor Sarun, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia and Special Envoy of the SEA Games Organizing Committee (CAMSOC) said: "This is the first time Cambodia has the honor of hosting the 32nd SEA Games - the largest sporting event in Southeast Asia, so Cambodia is especially interested in organizing the torch relay event with the desire to carry the Games flame through Southeast Asian countries, to promote the 32nd SEA Games."
“The torch relay is a traditional activity of great significance in the games hosted by the host country through 11 participating countries. This is not only the pride of Cambodia but also contributes to strengthening the friendship between Cambodia and countries in the region. The torch represents solidarity in the work of building peace and success for the country as well as the Southeast Asian community,” Mr. Hor Sarun affirmed.
For his part, Mr. Dang Ha Viet, General Director of the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, Vice President of the Vietnam Olympic Committee affirmed: “Today, Vietnam is honored to be the first torchbearer of the 32nd SEA Games after the host country. On this occasion, not only Cambodia but also other Southeast Asian countries are organizing many activities to respond to and welcome the upcoming 32nd SEA Games. The 32nd SEA Games torch was carried by track and field athlete Nguyen Thi Huyen, who has won many SEA Games, and 200 Vietnamese athletes through the Hoan Kiem Lake area, Hanoi.
On this occasion, we affirm that Vietnam always accompanies and supports with the highest effort for the success of the 32nd SEA Games - the first time Cambodia has hosted it". After finishing its journey in Vietnam, the 32nd SEA Games torch will continue to the Philippines and other countries in the region.
Then return to Cambodia on April 27 and pass through many provinces and cities of this country. On May 5, the torch will be lit on the cauldron of Morodok Techo National Stadium, marking the opening ceremony of the 32nd SEA Games. This is the first time Cambodia has hosted the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32) and the 12th Southeast Asian Para Games (ASEAN Para Games 12). The 32nd SEA Games is scheduled to take place from May 5 to 17. Following that, the 12th ASEAN Para Games will take place from June 3 to 9.

On March 22, the SEA Games 32 torch arrived in Hanoi.
On the morning of March 21, Cambodia - the host country of the 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32) and the 12th Southeast Asian Para Games (ASEAN Para Games 12) held a torch lighting ceremony at Angkor Wat temple under the chairmanship of Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni.
