At the Japan Mobility Show 2025, Lexus attracted attention when introducing a trio of new concept cars under the LS brand. The most prominent is the LS concept - a super luxury minivan with a unique 6-wheel design, marking a completely new approach for the LS line, which is familiar with the traditional sedan shape. This 6-wheel minivan has an elongated body, modern exterior design with angular LED lights at both the front and rear of the vehicle.
Lexus has not announced official dimensions, but the appearance shows that this is one of the largest models the company has ever developed. Notably, the Lexus LS 6-wheel minivan uses two rear axles with four wheels smaller than the front wheels – a design detail that has not been specifically explained. Inside, the ls concept has a luxurious, futuristic interior. The cabin has three rows of seats, with the rear seats designed like business class seats.
The cockpit features a yoke-style steering wheel, dual digital instrument cluster and modern surfaces, along with louvered windows for a quiet atmosphere. In addition, Lexus also introduced two other concept models, the ls coupe concept and the ls micro concept. The ls coupe concept has a 4-door coupe crossover design, with a sporty design and “suicide doors” opening rear doors. The car has a sliding tailgate combined with a wood-paneled storage compartment. The interior is equipped with high technology with digital screens, a yoke steering wheel and separate entertainment screens for the rear seats.
Meanwhile, the ls micro concept is a single-seat, self-driving electric vehicle, aimed at the needs of personal mobility in urban areas. The cabin is designed to open like a jewelry box, integrated with single seats and wooden details to bring a high-class feel. Lexus hasn’t confirmed whether any of these three concepts will make it to production, but the bold designs at the Japan Mobility Show suggest the company is experimenting with a number of new directions for the future LS lineup – from full-size minivans to micro-mini city cars.
