The Vietnam women's volleyball team will participate in FIVB 2023 under the name Sport Center 1.
The Vietnamese women's volleyball team will participate in FIVB 2023 under the name Sport Center 1 Club. In fact, Sport Center 1 does not appear in domestic tournaments, it was only established to compete in Asian club and world club tournaments, in order to create maximum conditions for Vietnamese women's volleyball players to compete and gain experience. Unfortunately, in this tournament, captain Tran Thi Thanh Thuy did not participate because she is playing for PFU Blue Cats Club (Japan).
At FIVB 2023, Sports Center 1 is in Group B with VakifBank Spor Kulubu (Türkiye) and Dentil Praia (Brazil). Of which, VakifBank Spor Kulubu has won the tournament 5 times (2013, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022). Sports Center 1 will meet VakifBank at 12:00 on December 13; then compete with Dentil Praia Clube at 12:00 on December 14.
