Evaluating the opponent in the opening match, the Japanese captain said: "We don't have much information about the Myanmar U.19 women's team, what their strength is, what formation they usually play with or who their key players are... However, we will prepare ourselves best and be in the best condition. Next, we will analyze the direct opponent in the match to come up with appropriate tactics at certain times to achieve the best results."

On the other hand, the head coach of the Myanmar U.19 women's team - Ms. Thet Thet Win shared: "Our first match in this tournament will be very difficult. The Vietnam U.19 women's team has home field advantage, and they are a strong team. However, we will try our best to achieve the best result in the opening match."

3 times runner-up...

At the Southeast Asian U.19 Women's Championship, the Vietnam U.19 women's team has reached the finals three times (2014, 2022 and 2023), but all finished as runners-up. So in this tournament, the Vietnam U.19 women's team is determined to break the second-place streak. Coach Masahiko said: "Currently, the team has good players who meet the training program and have modern thinking in football. The players' understanding of tactics is very good and they are showing rapid progress. The current Vietnam U.19 women's team has quality and the goal of winning the championship is reasonable."

In the 3 runner-up finishes mentioned above, the U.19 Vietnam women's team lost to Thailand twice in the final (in 2014 and 2023). Therefore, the scenario of host Vietnam facing Thailand is very likely to happen, possibly in the semi-finals (in case both teams pass the group stage). According to the regulations of the 2025 Southeast Asian U.19 Women's Championship, in the semi-finals, the first team in Group A will meet the second team in Group B, and the first team in Group B will meet the second team in Group A.
