This is an annual event hosted by the European Union (EU) Delegation to Vietnam, in coordination with embassies and cultural organizations representing EU member states.

According to information from the EU Delegation, the European Film Festival in Vietnam 2025 (EUFF 2025) introduces more than 20 outstanding cinematographic works, representing many European cultures such as: "Summer School, 2001" (Czech Republic), "Here" (Belgium), "Lost Chick" (Austria), "Young Mothers" (Belgium), "Trap" (Bulgaria), "Fathers and Mothers" (Denmark), "Red Sky" (Germany), "Tiny Princess" (Finland), "Four Wolf Spirits" (Hungary), "Portrait of a Lady in Fire" (France), "Girl from Tomorrow" (Italy), "The Miracle Doctor" (Poland), "Dream of a Robot" (Spain), "Lost" (Latvia, France, Belgium), "Emotional Value" (Norway, Denmark, France, Germany, Sweden), “Let them see the dawn” (Ireland)…

The works reflect multi-dimensional slices of life, deeply portraying the beauty of humanity and human values in contemporary European society. Many of the works bring thoughtful stories and fascinating cinematic adventures for all ages.
In particular, for the first time, EUFF Vietnam cooperates with the LUX Audience Award (an initiative of the European Parliament and the European Film Academy) and the European Film Awards Season 2026 to introduce interesting features of contemporary European cinema in particular and the European creative industry in general, while identifying the trend of co-production between regional and international cinema.

In Hanoi, audiences can enjoy films at the following addresses: National Cinema Center (87 Lang Ha); Czech Embassy (13 Chu Van An) (only showing the film "Lac Troi").
The film “Summer School, 2001” by director Dužan Duong (Czech Republic, produced in 2025) was chosen as the opening film in Hanoi. The film will be screened at the National Cinema Center at 8:00 p.m. on November 20. After the screening, there will be a talk with director Dužan Duong.
In Ho Chi Minh City, audiences can watch movies at Cinestar Cinema (135 Hai Ba Trung); Galaxy Cinema (116 Nguyen Du) (only showing two movies "Emotional Value" and "Lac Troi").
“Let Them See the Dawn” by director Pat Collins (Ireland, produced in 2023) was chosen as the opening film in Ho Chi Minh City. The film will be shown at 8:00 p.m. on November 21, at CineStar (135 Hai Ba Trung).
All films are shown for free, with Vietnamese and English subtitles.
