Linking is the “key” to help businesses expand market share

Currently, businesses and industry associations are rushing to find solutions to maintain the market for their products. In the face of global trade tensions, economic experts believe that linkage is the "key" to helping Vietnamese businesses in each field maintain the domestic and export markets. In particular, businesses that link up, apply digital transformation, and create a green and circular production, processing, and consumption chain will increase their competitiveness in both the domestic and export markets.

In addition, businesses must research and reposition the market for their products, study consumer needs, and technical barriers in the country they plan to bring their goods to. Next, they must plan production and business in the short and long term. Having links between businesses in the same industry will make it easier to meet large orders and control the origin of the products.

In production and export, Vietnamese enterprises are still lagging behind foreign-invested enterprises in Vietnam. Therefore, Vietnamese enterprises participating in the supply chain with foreign enterprises will have more stable output, and at the same time will increase many opportunities to expand production and business.

Vietnam currently has trade relations with about 200 countries and territories. In most of these countries and territories, Vietnam has embassies, so when needing to find out information about the market and technical barriers, businesses can contact the trade counselor for support.

Dong Nai is one of the 6 provinces and cities with the largest export turnover in the country. Currently, the province has trade relations with nearly 180 countries and territories. However, more than 60% of the province's export turnover is concentrated in 5 markets: the US, Japan, China, South Korea and the European Union. Currently, enterprises in Dong Nai are learning more about the Middle East and African markets... to expand exports to these regions, reducing dependence on a few large markets.

However, to expand exports to new countries and territories, businesses must spend several months to a year to research consumer demand, tariff policies, legal regulations for each product, distribution channels, etc. After that, businesses adjust production plans and products to suit each target market. Initially, businesses may encounter difficulties, but in the long run, this is a solution to help stabilize production, business and gradually grow.
