Liverpool beat Real Madrid: Mbappe disappoints again

Liverpool won convincingly against Real Madrid with a score of 2-0 at home. This was a match in which both teams missed penalties but Liverpool knew how to make the most of other opportunities. Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo scored for the representative of English football.

The home team continued to show great form. The match statistics clearly showed Liverpool's dominance. The English team had more than 60% ball possession. They had 17 shots in the whole match, 7 of which were on target.

Kylian Mbappe continued to disappoint. The French striker couldn't even score from the penalty spot. The 25-year-old star only made 2 shots during the 2 halves he was on the field, 24 passes with an accuracy of only 75%. Arda Guler, Brahim Diaz and Jude Bellingham were also lackluster.

The 0-2 defeat was Real Madrid's third defeat in the Champions League this season. The defending champions were pushed down to 24th place - the lowest position in the group with a place in the knockout round.
