New face revealed for Superman role

On June 27, famous director and DC Studios boss James Gunn confirmed that rising star David Corenswet will replace actor Henry Cavill as Superman in the DC Universe.

Accordingly, the 29-year-old actor will take on the lead role in Warner Bros' blockbuster "Superman: Legacy", scheduled to be released in 2025. Actor David Corenswet is known for his leading roles in HBO's "We Own This City" and Netflix's "The Politician".

In addition, actress Rachel Brosnahan was also trusted by DC Studios to play the role of Lois Lane - Clark Kent/Superman's girlfriend.

In a statement on Twitter, director Gunn gave "winged" words to the above pair.

The blockbuster "Superman: Legacy" was written and directed by James Gunn. According to the director, the film will revolve around Superman's life as Clark Kent when he works at The Daily Planet.

"Superman" is considered one of the most famous characters in Hollywood, so choosing an actor for this role is very important. Previously, many faces have successfully taken on the character of "Superman", including American actor Christopher Reeve, American actor Brandon Routh and most recently British actor Henry Cavill.

In late 2022, Henry Cavill announced that he would no longer be Superman for DC. Director James Gunn said that he wanted to build a story about Superman's life when he was young, so Henry Cavill was no longer suitable.
