Physician Bui Dac Sang, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, Hanoi Oriental Medicine Association, said that people often consume greasy foods and eat at irregular times during Tet, leading to bloating and indigestion. The doctor advised some foods to eat to improve this condition, as follows:

Lemonade

Lemons are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants. A 60g fruit provides about 30 mg of vitamin C, which is 30% of the recommended daily intake of vitamin C for adults. Lemons also contain other micronutrients such as magnesium, iron, potassium, and vitamin A, which help boost the immune system. The vitamins and minerals in this fruit help the liver produce bile, which aids digestion.

Lemon juice also acts as a liver detoxifier, cleansing the liver and relieving hangovers. In addition to lemon, some citrus fruits can also help the body detoxify alcohol in beer and wine faster. However, lemon has a sour and acidic taste. People with stomach and intestinal problems should limit their intake.

Coconut water
